this is why i write them down, i actually make kinda of a piano roll for notes, but drum's arn't complicated.

hmm , thats your opinion , but i remmber one day when im just sitting somwhere actually dont remmber where , maybe on the bar but anyway and thinking about making new tune , and then like a warm eeling visited my head and i have nice idea to add little craches but with some secret ingridiens in to my break , and you know i get a good results , but i didnt do that before

i'd be happy with palm piolt, that had access to my smaple liberary and then make up some quick drum loops, or that. mostly i have being trying to do lyrics with the voice synth, high quality synth, usually a granular sound, and vocoding them. i find, for that style, start with vocals, and adapt.
for dnb, you start with the drums. this will set the entire rhythem for the track. that's the important thing.

I am saddened that there aren't more female DNB producers.
@dNk: I can tell that you really enjoy programming drums, because you make some incredibly phenomenal drums for your songs. I was incredibly impressed by some of your songs, and I burned them onto a CD immediately.

it depends...sometimes i'll just start from the beginning and build as i go along, and sometimes i'll come up with the drop and stuff first, then go and sort out the intro and all that after...

ill normally start with beats......or running my mikrokorg into the reaktor fx. or it could be a sample.....something from a film maybe. to be honest i tend to just turn some buttons and see what happens.....it really depends on my mood....sometimes i can finish a track in a day and the labels im talking to love it..although i think it sucks....where as the stuff i take a month on and i think is great gets shot down.
