because if gaming is something you enjoy, then why not immerse yourself in it for a bit of escapism. Its no different from watching the tv, reading a novel or watching a film. Obviously there are differences as to how you do those things but ultimately they are achieving the same purpose. To esacpe reality & put your mind to another place.
Im not a huge gamer but I would rather immerse myself into a good story based game that challenges my intellect than sit & stare at the idiot box watching trash for hours on end.

i dont watch tv. or very rarely. and escapism gets you nowhere mate, exceot pissed when you gotta come back to reality ...

san andreas rules i got pc an ps2 version an i had no problem with havingh to start all over again when i got the pc version cuz the graphics for ps/2 suck in compare what you can do with a geforce 6600gt/256

lol, i just bought Resident Evil Apocalypse (the second movie) and there's this nigger with his cadillac drivin' through the streets of Raccoon City.

You can "tune" your cars in San Andreas.. yea right change the colors of yer ride & add a bit of nitro... nitro is nice though

Have you never heard about games being good for mankind ????
They say if you game sometimes, it betters your reflexes, memory and mind ...
There is a hospital in USA that uses gaming to improve the skills of the surgents and doctors ...
They say that doctors who game allot are the most consentrated and better ones ...
They even made a game where you have to do an operation 
but they only designed it for that hospital ... ( If you have to close an open wound you need one tool in each hand, and in this documentary they said it's just like a controller of a console that you have in your hand )

Yes indeed, gaming is getting very important in this world ... games are based on allot of things that you see in real life or in movies, people love movies and isn't it cool to be a hero in a game? Especially when you're good and kickin' ass 
( allot of games are based on movies : the matrix, batman, spiderman, resident evil, ... )
Also in the airforce ... they use Flight simulators don't they? In the army shoot em' ups ... Technology is very important and we can't live without it, games are very important ...
Now don't you ever say again that gaming sucks !

That's no suprise.
1) Consoles have their entire processor used for the graphics.
2) Consoles work on TV = 50Hz, 800X600 pixels, computer graphics on highest quality are way more demanding.
