dead end for me Frown

I would reinstall Reason or make it rescan the sounddriver (on the audio page) and if that wouldnt help, went to a mates comp and tried there.

maybe reason has issues with your card.. try troubleshooting section of reason's manual

if it persists with no known problems.. you got your guarantee, right?

suggest use it and replace the card

I've had that too (playbutton being stuck) and I don't think it's soundcard related... Dunno how to fix it...

you know, tho it sounds silly, rewiring reason to cubase might solve the problem since cubase has it's own play button

tried rewire but still happened and i'm using 3.0 so don't know what to do......
the only thing i can think of is that reason doesn't like it when i use the sound card at 96KHz......
when my studio is back together i'll try it at 48KHz and c what happens

why do you need that high working KHz rate anyway???? can't imagine what difference it makes... do you hear it?

until it comes to bouncing the track.. it's the same as 44Khz

but...........

if a sound say at 12KHz is played back through a 44100KHz system each cycle of the wave only has 3.4 samples to it.
if that sound was a sine wave, digitally it would come out more like a sawtooth.
wereas......
at 96Khz there are 8 samples per cycle meaning the wave is better represented therefore truer to the real sound.......
