this is the top rated tune of the week huh?
eh...vocals in the intro are kinda weird. is that lil jon??
beat seems alright except theres definitely some muffling going on with your bassdrum and bassline. try to cut the bassdrum at 40 Hz and under almost completely to make room for sub. and then still smooth it out a lil more.
this really jus sounds like one of those ideas that sounds really good at first but eventually is in no shape for a song...really short lived on the fly things. if you took away the crunk yellin "remix" sample that would be a start. it jus seems thrown in.
you could maybe go somewhere with this but i dunno... deff. fix those eqing problems with the bass first. i can't believe no one else noticed that...

i mean, its just an idea - hence whaddya reckon
nah its not lil john, its a doo wop ballad, just thought it would be funny ti see if i could use that, and was rather suprised
eqing problems are par for teh course with what is, as i said just a littel idea, wasnt trying to big myself up, its a comedy song

this song is almost sh!t hot. (IMO) right up my street this one. love the doo wop samples. would go nice over another rolling track.
to expand the tune i suggest you lengthen the intro with the vocals. turn down the drums, lose the gun shots until breaks. keep the sub bass. look to other doo wop tunes, and or joker records, for the main bassline ideas and then cut back to the doo wop/existing bassline for a break.
THIS TUNE HAS POTENTIAL.
9/10

well, you got a parametric or graphic eq don't you? i dunno cubase at all, but you just set the eq on the bass drum, figure out how to set the meters to certain frequencies, and start cutting the lower frequencies down a bit.
i believe those directions kind of blow.
if you absolutely don't get that, you can just try slight volume tweaking. wait, screw that. that could make all the other sounds seem too loud... so nevermind. you see, what i'm saying is to turn down the lower-freq bass on the drum, because it doesn't need it as much as the b-line does. a very good tip is to cut extremely unnecessary frequencies to make more room for everything in the mix as you go. and at the end, at your final mixdown, you should (i only said should) cut at 20hz and 18-20khz to make more room, cuz they're almost completely unnecessary.
hope this helps.
