Please check out my new track 'Harmony Corrupt (with guitar)' and post your comments here!!!
(Sorry, first copy I downloaded missed the guitar track - which may have been a good thing
Well, its been a while but I finally got around to making another tune. I recorded the guitar, vocals, clavs and other keyboards live, so as a result this track is a bit rough around the edges. I also used Steinberg's Monologue and Embracer synths, the tonic filter, Abynth 2.0 for the glide lead and Junglist for the sub. The drums are on Battery (which keeps f**king clicking - anyone have a solution for this!!?? I've tried x-click and x-crackle in the waves bundle but this only helped marginally). Thanks in advance for any reviews and pointers. (I know - I haven't reviewed for a while but with this monkey off my back I'll get back to it). Thanks also to Reckon for the TB loop and Surya for the new tramen loop.
And for all the dark heads - I haven't gone soft on ya - the b-side to None Would Escape is coming soon.
This track has been deleted because a new version is available

Those Lyric's "Here Wee Go Again"??? Sounz like your giving it a Scottish twist son. The guitar was a nice touch. At some parts your seriously breaking new ground for the old git, Sounded like there was allot more changes to this version than just the guitar? Anyway once again your drums were fat. Your sub- 3:44ect.>would love to hear allot more of that tubby sub in this, or some track in the making, it sounded beutifull to say the least, chunky sub mania indeed son. Right then, cheers.++Stu Maggoo++

lol. that sound suspiciously like the THX noise at the beginning of this.
eighties vibe on the intro.......but the vocal sound like you recorded in your bathroom....not feeling it. perhaps re do it a space thats more dead sounding......or use a different reverb. if your going to do vocals you need to be more confident with them, they need to sit right at the front of the mix.
to be honest its quite well made, but i cant see many playing it cause of the style......that bass/lead wobble is quite well dont though. the japanese would absolutly love it
.
for me to give a tune 10/10 or 5/5 it has to be what i consider good enough for release.and yeh ok it is only my opinion. the production is good, its just the tune doesnt really do it for me......its a bit messy in places. 7/10 not as good as the last one of your i checked........but theres some guitar skills going on later in this....ive been playing for about eleven or twelve years now, never really had the urge to do some jimmy page in the middle of a dnb tune though.

Thanks for the reviews. Ya, no doubt this is not a track for release - kinda an awkward style - but thought it would be interesting to try recording some live stuff on a dnb track - not something I plan on doing all that often though. I am by no means a vocalist - so if this were a serious track those would all have to be replaced. (I'm still digging the cheesey happy synth though
). The vocals were recorded with an AKG C3000B in a dead space but then a cheap reverb was added after. I actually started this as an intro to the dark amen sequal to None Would Escape but then I split it into its own track and started experimenting.

well its probably all been said by now but heres my two cents . . .
the intro is original, but i dont like hearing synths "start up" if you know what i mean, it makes them sound two much like they are following a tune rather than creating it. guitar is nice, and vocals are cool . . . brave man
nicely produced as per, but it just seems that dnb dont fit the vibe you got going. i mean i am all for pushing boundaries and i rate this track just for that, but im not sure its entirely pulled off in this case
hang about though . . things begin to make more sense at 2:04, and yeah i change my mind, i think you got something here, i mean its hardly gonna do much damage in a club
but i hardly imagine that was the intention. no this is good, i think maybe the vocals should be brought up in the mix more, but its a good original tune, and top production values so nice one

That was great! What you've gone and done with your smelly voice is very smelly indeed and a wee bit stinky to be honest. The rest of your track is really interesting, Love that drum quality and im curious as to how you got your drum's to sound soo flippin fantastic. Great Work Nosrac, (Harmony Corrupt) was truly fresh and beefy indeed son.

This track totally rocks. Who is on vocals? I especially like the bassline. With a little work, I could see this track going mainstream, I mean that in a good way of coarse. At around 5:15 it gets pretty wicked. What did you use to make this track? Well I dig it, groovin vibe. Very original. You definately have your own sound.

this one grows on you, at first i thought what the f***? and then i thought this sounds good, but i wasnt keen on the synths in some parts. very rounded, like someone said, the japs would love and i would like to hear more stuff like this.
all in all a good tune.
9/10

I like this one, The Intro sounds like a Steve Vai tune but thats no bad thing. Its nice to hear someone who isn't bothered about making tunes to get them played instead of making tunes that YOU love for youself. Fuck everyone else. If you like it then its bloody perfect.
This is some thing ive never heard before and I respect you for that. Ultimately its not really my cup of tea but it put a smile on my face. And, as I said before, If it makes YOU smile then its perfect.
