Pendulum Bio
Pendulum was formed mid 2002 by three musicians from Perth, Australia. Before they teamed up, they have been active in Perth's live music scene for several years. Gareth McGrillen and Rob Swire played together in a band ‘Xygen’ , allready famous for ‘rolling beats and blast vocals’ and appearing on several compilations at the time, while Paul Harding ‘Elhornet’ has been DJ-ing at clubs, raves and festivals in Perth for over 7 years.
The first result of the collaboration was the 'Vault' release in 2003 on 31 Records. 'Vault' became one of the biggest anthems of 2003, even got the Knowledge Magazine award for 'Best single of 2003'. Adam F and Fresh (Bad Company UK) have supported the Pendulum sound since the beginning. They asked Pendulum to join their recently formed Breakbeat Kaos label, and their debut single for the label ('Another Planet' and 'Voyager') made its debut in the UK Dance Charts at number 1. They followed 'Vault' with a series of releases on Renegade Hardware, Timeless Recordings, Low Profile, Uprising and last years Sideshow EP on Freak. Their huge sound became a trademark and they remixed tracks from the likes of Fresh, Ed Rush & Optical, Concord Dawn and Nightbreed.
In 2003 the trio moved to the UK. Since then they have been touring from the UK to Europe, The Middle East, North America, Asia and of course Australia. July 5th coming will see the release of their debut LP ‘Hold You Colour’, boasting collaborations with DJ Fresh, The Freestylers, MC Spyda, Tena Fly and Yasman Lee. Pendulum set off for a global tour last weekend, and bring their sound to Ghent for you...

As someone who takes the train for more than 5 years both on professional and recreational basis (many trips from the coast to distant territories as Limboland 
) at least 5 days a week (roundtrip) I can honestly say we have a very good railway system... not to be compared at all with the Netherlands (friggin' rippers) or even worse the UK (which is just payin' hard cash to risk your life)
