Huh not bad for a first run, some minor points need ironing out though like the rather repetitive bassline/keyboard line, try taking some phrases out and replacing them with other, slightly modified sequences to add interest, the drum patterns are great at the beginning though you could stretch this a little to add a build up quality to the ambience. try a few samples other than the ones in FL, producers can spot them a mile off.(siren, explosion, scream etc)there are loads of royalty free samples out there but failing that if you want to get old skool here is a little magic for you .... plug your headphones into the line in on back of pc use wave recorder to record your self by shouting into the cans, save as wav or mp3 and use freely. Siren and the machine gun can come up alot, actually the whole track. If you program your own beats in frooty(in frooty it's under fx as db) or reason set your kick at -6 db, this is a general rule of thumb. If you are using an apple computer it will be called a clipping meter. I usually keep the clip meter out for the whole track, every other sound comes around your kick as silly as it may sound. Z

Ok so this is your first track...
The idea is ok... the siren and explosion and staff....
But what considers the sequence...
It is somehow too alike it is repetitive... espetialy the baseline...
Try to layer some more patterns that are diferent.... cut the beats and add some more chords ... the put it back in the origin for exeample( it is just exemple not a tutorial though:-)
What referes to the samples... try to avoid using the original samples that you got....
If you use any beatslicing machine try to cut it change the filters and ect.
Try to program your own beats even simple ones....
Vary the basseline and create more separate patterns that would chage...
Then try to connect the general sequence in intro, main , leading, and outro....
And finally use FFT meters or anything that would analyse the sound to do the mixing....
Overall for first track it is very good....
So I would rate it 7 from 10...
keep it up there is talent in you...

takes a bit long for the track to get going but once it does it's pretty ok
maybe you should concider using a more powerfull snare or at least make the one you use a bit more powerfull
bassdrum needs some more attack

the drumz alltogether are ok but need propper leveling (easy to say huh Big Grin )

the synth kicking in at 1:58 is ok but could use some backup from a sub
the drumz at 4 minutes don't really fit with your roll-in
but for the first time not a bad tune just try an do something about the fruity loops sounds they are to recognisable

looking forward to hear future releases from you Wink
