i pushed my latest drum line through a tubed scream distortion unit.. And goddamn does it sound nice with a little bit of panning and filter for that extra special touch...

Yea! I put my bassline trough an BOSS ds1 distortion pedal for electric guitar. Sounded cool, but I guess I can get better sound with some vsts. I have a vst for distortion that is called Antares tube. It is the best sounding distortion plugg I've tried. Fruityloops distortionpluggs are not good at all compared to this one. It sounds amasingly good.

erm... wish you were right... There are no decent crashes like real drumsets and I need decent rides too,
about 50 of 'm !!!
You need 5 different rides to make an amen or a firefight, and loads of other stuf:
Bassdrum
snares
crash
ghost
hihats
more rides
AND LOTS OF EQ-ing !!!

izotope trash........very good distortion........other than than that get a good olde valve guitar amp......and toast those valves......

yea, trash has a good selection of amps, but the overdrive section is pretty packed also. with 2 over drives and a amp modlle, it's pretty much noise at that point.

even has 2 types of rate/bite degrade/reduction.
