Tunnle Modulation is what i call it,
i dont know what its official name is,
its when you take a bunch of flangers and phasers but but theri phase rate to 0%, the stop molulationg and just do their thing to one frequncey,
anyways it sounds.. how can i say, like some sort of tube sound.
has anyone here tried this before? i used it to make some core snare samples and it make normal acustic snares sound strangle and like they were made of crystle, being shot off instead of being hit.
its hard to describe a sound with words.
//
also i know about phasers and flangers and lesie and vetor filters and LFOs but is there any other modulation effect similar to this that ive never seen before ?
(post links to vsts, thanks if u can or even if u cant!
)

wouldn't that be like using a EQ and just boosting narrow bands . you get some nice effects, and make voules and AAHHHH noises with anything....

I was thinking that too
anyways there's tube distortion so it's got something with that or not?

Sounds very interesting.
Could you post some examples(mp3 or ogg) if you have the time? The temperature right now is too hot and making me too lazy to think (or try it out) right now.

ah, i will make a tunnle mod percussions sample pack for the downloads page to show you exactly what i mean!
it is unique, its like the 0Hz flanger and partial mix level overdrive effect over the turn-table, nothing comes close and its unique.
but no one can say for sure when my sample packs will get done, maybe now maybe later?
i got one ready though today and will try to upload to the ftp thing.

I think this trick is called combfiltering . This is a notchfilter with a dip on every harmonic instead of just one dip . You could for instance filterout one note of a chord and leave the other unchanged .
But I could be comepletely off . Anyway I can't wait for your example .
Greetings Dirk .

there is a cool stero thing too. phase is something that gives the cool sound of warmth to most analog. and you don't get it from eq's doing the same thing.. i tihnk he's kinda onto something...

Well, a lot of reverbs are built with four comb filters, so this could explain the tunnle modulation effect
