does anyone know if its possible to open aiff from macs so they can be used on a pc??? or if they can be converted.

almost every normal sampler or wave editor reads Aiff on pc as far as i know.. try kontakt wavelab or similar

yeh i thought cubase sx 2 did as well.........but its telling me their unrecognised files. its a pity. im supposed to be doing some remixes of this kind of portishead/bjork/zero 7 styled stuff by some russian chick, i just cant open the wavs, maybe their damaged.

If you really can't open them, send me a PM, I'm at the studio today and can convert them on the mac if needed.

thanks for the generous offer man, but im gonna have to pass......theres about 2gb to deal with, i dont really have a quick enough connection to even to contemplate that one.

I just use winamp to convert those Smile add them to the playlist -> activate the winamp discwriter plugin -> press play and all your aif samples are being coverted at a fast speed Smile

nopes, converted one hit hats, snares and kicks (the ones from B.lck in the tunes section btw Wink ) with it and I ddn't notice any change in quality.
