hehe , have been using that word ever since i started listening to reggae/ragga and especially snoop dogg a very long time ago
indeed , "fo shizzle ma nizzle" is so well known these dayz , but you had to see the people when i already played those wordgames a few years ago ....
must have something to do with wanting to stand out in between the crowd and having something that doesn't make you like everyone else ... anywayz , new words always will pop up , and as soon as everyone starts using them , it's just not "cool" or fun anymore to use them .... same as with some music styles ( every few years dnb is declared dead , especially after that a lot of songs get played on commercial radio stations )

I dont know too much of the rasta speech, being nothing but a (ahem) duppy myself, but I do like some of the expressions people use today.
Im chatting to this brer about somthing and I said somehting like, "hes a bit boring, a bit dry though innit?" and the guy just rolls his eyes and comes out with, "that boy is . . . (struggling fow words) . . . that boy is TOAST!"
yeah so "toast" is a personal favourite to describe something thats boring dry, people are also using "dusty" as well.
Sometimes these rudeboy get quite articulate, put things really nicely. Someone tried to "boy" (thats another good one - as in put down, make em feel small) this other guy, cussing him or something, and the guy just styled it out comes out with the best comeback, and theres this pause and hes like "yeah . . so put that in your head and think about it"
thought that was pretty funny

lol k
it's our version of the shizzle my nizzle kinda words
well, in our dialect:
'smoren' = to smoke
'pitten' = to sleep
'schranzen' = to eat
'pilsen' = to drink beer
'skippen' = to leave the place
those are the basic words, but we use diddy after everyone of them
smorendiddy
pittendidier
scranzendiddy
pilsen diddy
skippendiddy
didier is basicly the same as diddy, but the newer form cuz we got kinda bored of using diddy (and everyone uses it around our village now rofl
)
BUT, oh the exception:
on wednesdays and sundays we use doris instead of diddy/didier..
BUTTTT BASICLY THIS IS KINDA STUPID LOL
but it's fun to use it under friends lol
it's like something we invented wile being stoned and bored hanging on the street lol

okay...
i suppose it's so much fun as we have ('we', that is foreign people) when we learn dutch, and start to put 'je or 'tje at the end of all words, even when it's not required.. like huisje, spliffetje, colaatje, treintje, whatevertje.. owja, there comes my nickname from of course.
then my teacher in brussels told me it was not correct.. i thought that was becoz it was dutch and not flemish.. so i started replacing all the 'je' by 'eke': muiskes, spliffekes, hallokes, etc.
now my teacher is simply telling me 'now you really have to stop with these..'
