way to totally pass that question one., you can save the file as a .wav and then use http://www.rarewares.org/mp3.html LAME mp3 to make it an mp3, this may help the quality a bit. also it could just be the levles that are off. who knows.

"How do you get the drumkit to sound good?"
"Well, I make it sound as bad as I possibly can, then I do the opposite". |
I use this "trick" always when I have to do life stuff .
Listen through a headphone when making it sound bad, then inverse the knobs and let the sound hear through the main monitors . People start thinking that you are a mixing god if you do it like this .
Greetings Dirk .

that's the standard quick and dirty EQ procedure, everybody does it
1. put your Q factor to the minimum (sharpest curve)
2. put your gain to maximum boost
3. sweep through the frequencies until you find the one that sounds the most horrible
4. set the gain to an appropriate degree of cut instead of boost
5. set the Q factor to something a bit more reasonable
6. repeat procedure for the remaining EQ bands
With a bit of experience you can EQ an 8-channel drum kit in 3 minutes using this technique.
