ive used WINMX for years & its always been cool, then I installed limewire & my pc got infected quicker than you can say 'limewire is the shittest p2p program ive ever used'
cant say im that pleased my shit is on there, but if you post your tunes on a site like this then its hardly suprising especially as my last track got like 89 hits. You gotta assume that at least one of those people has downloaded it into their p2p shared folder probably without even realising it.

any p2p/file shareing network softwrae contains spyware.........
and as for getting infected......wy dont you get a decent antivirus.
ive never had any problems with it, but i guess its also to do with what you download......

yeah...am using AVG for my anti virus & ad-aware for my spyware & both seemed to do the job ok
the spyware problem probably had something to do with all the exe files i downloaded.....

spybot.........not bad but i never really trust these bloody things anyway.
its probably easier to download the trial of adware....and then just go through the registry yourself......just watch what you delete

spybots are a huge problem, i found .reg that will reinstall them even if there removed.
for music production it slows down your computer and affects preformance greatly.
AD-WARE is the best one i have found for removing spybots.
and kazaa lite is spybot free.

Best is to use multiple anti-spyware tools. Other tools find different spyware.
I use Ad-Aware, Spybot and Microsoft AntiSpyware. All of them are free

yes it's slow as hell and they admit it by calling it mule. but it gets the job done for mp3s at least.. it's not that slow but you just cannot turn of your computer cause you loose the line.. and thats about it.
when searching for noisia..I entered some names, didn't turn off my comp for a week and voila, nowhere-to-be-found noisia trax flowing in
my mate with a Microsoft special sertificate didn't found any spyware on it.. no uwanted processes or such. so I guess no spyware!

I use Shareazan fast and good, no spyware and you can hook to the E-mule network, and it is a bit torrent client soft as well!!!

yea i use spybot ad-aware and that microsoft one, microsofts is a great one also, it does find different ones. but god damnit, who need's this trouble, like does it actually benefit from having *YOU ARE THE WINNER* CLCICK HERE TO GAIN YOUR PRIZE!!!! pop-up every 10 minutes? regardless of internet activity....
