Please check out my new track 'Avenger (40% preview)' and post your comments here!!!
here's a lil peek of what i'm comin up with next.
for some reason this one's been really hard for me to get to work on, but i think it's going along fairly good. kinda a concord dawn feel to it. the vocals in this are sung by me, btw.
made in FL.
ingredients:
z3ta+(ravey arp sound, hard lead)
Absynth 2.0(ethnic indian sound)
Fruity 3x0sc(nasty bass at the end)
TS404(sub)
Sound Forge (mastering)
Native Bundle (fx VSTs)
classic breaks
and my own drumloop, all sounds generated in drumsynth.
enjoy!

oh goody i get to teh be the first to review woot!
here we go...intro drums are sick...love the old school feel...
all the sounds fit perfectly..teh stabs, teh bass/reece...and durms flow beautifully...
i have to say the chorus vocals nea rthe end that you layed in tehre dont work...the short vocal samples were pleatny...i dont think you shoudl go overboard and making it a full song...and im noticing your ripping of fthe soul on fire melody...punk ass mutha fucka you...
as far as sounds go...everything is nice and clear and sounds awesome..
i just didnt like the vocals...and the soul on fire melody...
__ Rinse it OUT!!!!

As always Darkside you had made a wonderfull tune just finish it....
The drums are exelent
But I don`t like the vocals....
The patterns fits as it should fit....
Very nice variation of the drums
Very good sawtooth and pad string that goes in the backround....
Make the baseline more fat....
And chage the vocals....
I would rate this 9.5 from 10 just because of the vocals

I know that you havn't finnished with the song but I hope the come up/intro gets longer cos the soundz are nice ' n' dark...
When the song gets going, I find the the stabs in the background irritating, you could definatly do without them. The beat however is tight.
The drop is nice and the stabs with the echo work well there(cos they are in the right context. The vocals in the drop off don't work for me cos they contrast to much with the fat bass line.
I'm looking fowrard to hearing a longer version where you develop the second bassline more. When you introduce it before the drop, try putting a little less disto so that it has more effect when the drumz come back.

to make the thumbs up (rate the thread) you go to the very bottom of the thread's page and it has the 1 - 10 thing with the hands and shit, and you just bubble in which one you want to rate it.

Intro and buildup are quite nice. Kick is too deep, get a more punchy one.
Not sure about that vocal dude, sounds like that guy took too much valium or something...
Amenz are quite good. Clean sound and good edits.
The bass sequence that starts @ 2.25 has been used before (was it by Concord Dawn?) so maybe it's not a good idea to use thatone...
Overall I found the bass slightly lacking.
Good ideas, but needs some work
