anyone got any advice for getting that reggae sound? you know the piano on the upbeat whatever?

reverb, vst, chords etc would be useful.

reggae should be easy to make, but its a bit trickeier than i thought actually

well i know the bpm on most reggae tracks is between 70 - 90, though ut varies quite a bit (ive been working out the bpm of all these tunes).

and i know that the key is to stress the second and fourth beat. so mebbe thats why you might have a kick under teh snare. but on the second and fourth you put in some jangly piano (i think it is.)

but you need to find exactly the right sounding piano (?), the right sounding bass, and the right type of delay on the whole thing otherwise it wont work - and i was wondering if anyone knew any of those?

yeah tarantula is such a tune. however, for reggae laced drum and bass, of modern times, i still prefer that tune by Subfocus "Soundguy".

Actually, tho that tune "Psycho Ragga" is pretty cool aswell, and then theres Chase & Status "Duppyman" aswell. Huh Hard to choose between them really Smile
