In TRIX a music centre near me you can follow different courses about music production.
they've got:

Reason:
10 lessons of 2 hours for €200

Cubase SX 2:
2 levels
120€ each level

Ableton Live:
€100 for 5 lessons of 2 hours

Logic Pro
€120

Which one should i follow?
I use fruityloops right now, and i kinda know how it works, so i'd like to go on with a "better" program, but wich kinda works teh same as fl.

more info on www.trixonline.be

none of these programms remotely work like FL each one is almost completely different...but if it was up to me...id say logic...

Logic is being used by producers such as, DSL, Karl K, Kaso, J kennedy, Calyx, Teebee...and more...And id say its prolly easier to learn than reason and cubase...and ableton is shit if you ask me...

Reason would be good to learn cause of the sounds you can create...but id deff go with logic...

ok are you telling me you dont know what compression is, or reverb, flangeing etc etc etc, or how about a limiter.
experiment, the best way to learn is to sit there for weeks and actually do it, no course can teach you all you need to know, d.i.y.

aight what i ment, you cant ask questions to a piece of paper, neither there'll appear a hand out of yer computer when browsing a forum to help u with that one question. It's all theory you get from written things.
sorry for that suck thing

Yeah, your post was clear enough (i also think that having someone in person teaching you something and having the possibility to ask questions is more effective than spending hours staring at some screens). But toneloc has a different view on that matter, but that's what a forum is for.
So apologies accepted. Bigup Pleased

making a reece is easy........take two saw waves, detune one of them, add ditortion or filter etc etc to suit your taste, then layer a sub under neath it.
remember......the person whos teaching cubase, reason or whatever might not know what a reece is........not every one is into dnb, they might be from a rock band production point of view, or even worse...they might be into house.lol.
they are going to be there to teach you how to use the software....but it could be from the point of view of sequencing, or arranging.......it might not be about synthesis......you might find they know less than you think.

waste of money!!!!!

I went to trix this afternoon (there was an 'opendeurdag' there).
As me and K(oeke)P(an) tried out the programs there, I concluded that Reason isn't too difficult, whilist we didnt get ANY sound out of the other 3.
And now i know Lemon D uses Logic too, i'm considering trying that one

Personally I'd sooner spend the money on a music theory course or something like that than a course on how to learn a different programme. Its all very well learning how to make a reese but if you cant make a song afterwards it's a waste of time. I'm in the same boat so to speak, I can make a cracking reese or amen but can I make a decent song? Can I bollox lol. Big Grin

But if I was going to do one of them I'd learn Cubase. Simply because I dont like macs so logic is out of the question and most people using reason rewire it into cubase so you'd end up having to learn cubase anyway.
