In a lot of old jungle tunes, and still quite frequntly today, the producers put this speeded up little vocal snippet in the rythym. You must have noticed it. Its in tons of tunes. It always sounds like its saying the samething. Does anyone know what it is exactly, so that I could have a go at reproducing it?

LOTS of James Brown beats have been sampled.. that's for sure.
Do you mean the one with the 'too bad' (or something like that) in?

cool. well, i dont want to use like the whole break, so i reckon ill just record myself saying "wicked" or "raggo" or something similar, hoping that noones around and can hear me, and then speed it up. sould do the trick.

you can layer a hiphip drumloop with youre vocal samples (abuot 90bpm) and then speed up twice to 180bpm
the result can be better

and then pee freely ony uor computer.
or i mean, use a Degrader to make it sounds down sampled.
i mean... run it through a bit of distortion or verb THAN try to pitch it, or use Granular pitch shifting, to keep tempo but change pitch.

the mda degrade is a pretty good free vst for the dirty sound. it's what i used on the pianos in "come with me".
also you could maybe use a filter.

degraders make you feel dirty and violated. they come with about 6-10 inch dongs, no lubricant because that only takes away from it, and tape o someone calling you filthy names and smacking sounds.
i mean, it tunes the sample rate and bit rate down, usually in either a hard bit reduction or a regular bit reduction. and than there's diffetn ways to downsample the tunes freq,
but there's a free http://www.virtualcreations.de/cgi-bin/s...kel=vcs-reducer
it has 3 algorithms for reducing, and both hard and normal reduction for bit samples plus a bilt in high and low pass filter... pre and post reduction.
the best one that i have found....
it add's a digital grittness not normaly used.

you could also try pitching it down in sound forge or something to give you a better idea of what it is...
