LOMECHANIK featuring Toktek (Tom Verbruggen), Maersk, Modules, Tubish, Apzolut,
Dj Jorg & Stanzacrew
Lomechanik is an electronic collective/label consisting of people who enjoy experimenting with sound. Lomechanik just want to imprint their explosive music onto others minds and souls, while wrong-footing them on the dancefloor. No matter what, Lomechanik will not bow to the mainstream, but prefer to put their out-there music, well, out there.
Best described as 9 people with 9 different faces connected to 9 processors crashing into, bouncing off and pulling into each other in some kind of weird molecular experiment.
A digitally produced kick in the balls combined with an analogue slap on the back.
Put on a stage with a mass of equipment Lomechanik can be described as thus:
First of all there's Tubish with his psychic dreamland and textural pastures. He'll cut you off from reality while Maersk and his Lo-fi Indietronics will bring you subtly down to earth, before screaming loudly in your ear to wake up. Modules cuts beats, clicks and rhymes creating thrilling IDM, before getting out his sharpest beats to get the drum & bassheads rolling on the dancefloor.
TheSmokeCella on the other hand, has his tongue firmly in his cheek, as he creates a hybrid of Indie pop, disco and uptempo breakbeat, while finding time to test his vocal chords. Also known to collaborate with VD Inc. who just goes all over the shop, picking out the dirtiest beats, cheesiest synths and sickest vocals. Harder than core and brainier than dance.
Dj Jorg is the man you need at every good party, a full-blooded vinyl assault which varies from trash to flash and everything inbetween. Loves his gadgets and isn't afraid to use them on the unsuspecting public. Two joysticks, a rickety old rekkid player and an Electribe is all the genius aka Tok Tek needs to open the most rigid of jaws, because when he gets down there is no one who can succumbe to his array of tricks and stylistic beats. Visually sound. Which leads us on to jazz bassplayer extraordinaire Deng Zero who creates the weirdest sculptures with his wooden axe and his 'top. This man knows his jazz, funk and tronix.
Always working the dancefloor is DJ Tunan. Someone who can create a hybrid set encompassing D&B, IDM and god knows what else. Follow this with the electrocore set of Apzolut, who grinds his beats to a pulp before spitting them out in a rage of fury, and peoples legs will be working overtime. A must see. The do it your self crown must go to Seegee. Meccano, sellotape and old instruments are abused in the quest for that elusive sound. Someone with ideas and tunes a plenty.
You can believe everything you read here, or just come and see it for yourself.
Because with Lomechanik you just never know what your gonna get. Kinda like that box of chocolates that fella in that film talked about...

Wow, this was awesome.
I'm no big fan of Tik Tok, but the rest of the crew I really liked! Too bad we had some company that didn't like the 'electronic music' but we left 30 minutes prior to the ending so no bad night at all!
Cool audience, enough space for footing, good and interesting DnB which is not that obvious because usually I think DJ's don't bring that much variety to the set -- too much is too much, but too little is too little (it's that simple).
Nice.

Yoooow!
Athmosphere, as usual in 'tBeest'! Non-predictable diversity!
As the music stayd to be hydrid, this party was the same:
First part...: 'performance', 'stand and watch/listen music', 'artcore'..
Second part...:
So, staying untill the very end was worthwhile because of the music
really (finally?) developing towards that breathtaking 'style' with great
'danceability', really fitting for Dnb partyheadz!
Enjoyd it!
