Agressive tune. A techstep-darkstep combo, made in about 3 weeks (yeah, I know its damn too long but I had tests etc.), with big efforts. I guess this is my best till now, os you can know how good I am at producing nowadays Anyway, good deal of producing time devoted on mastering (as always) EQ and compression (I used Sonitus fx:Multiband compressor). The idea was to make a dark tune with some kind of story, juz like Tech Itch's Pressure Drop. But he's better than me, that's for sure Anyway, I succeeded. Has a little steppa theme at the begining. No real build-ups (except the first one), agressive bass and drums (what a percussion! I still amaize my self )... and that's it. This is my tune after 2 months of non-posting tunes. However, its this same abruptness that works so well in the drop - but the different release time could be the contrast between the intro and the drop. Nice stuff -rolls along very nicely. Wait, what's this - deadly shit at 2:35 - heavy ass shit bro!! Love the amen swell at the end of the 8th bar. And the big bent up bass part at 3:17 is damn cool! Is that your voice I hear at 3:40? Nice effect. Stepper at this point is cool - big powerful foundation with really light melodic arp synths overtop - sweet. This track does definitely have the best production I've heard from you, but it sounds a bit too hissy - the hats track needs to be curbed off a bit at the top perhaps - maybe its just my headphones. Not too keen on the ending. Overall, a really nice track and this certainly shows off some well developed skills - I can see any track you do from now on being above a certain quality threshold and just tearin' it up. Anyone feel free to make a remix if you would, or smthing... enjoy it! cool intro...same as norsac...dont really like that abruptness to that first synthy acidy sound.... as far as the intro goess...there should be some earlier hats imo to fallow through as some good mixing cues...drums kick in...good stuff...liking it, but chop up your own amens...that tramen sample i think is used too often on its own... drop comes...ehhhhhhhhhhhh im not sure about that bass.....sounds reaaaaaaaaaaaaalllllly dry and digi...im not feeling the warmth under it... steppyness comes in...cool but that little 4/4 sub thing...ehh i dunno...it fits teh steppy niess...but there couldve been a ebtter sound used... didnt really feel teh overal track....production was pretty decent imo...had a few beefs with the bass and what not...but as far as the ACTUAL track does...just wasnt doing it...imo this wouldve been decent back in 95-97, but doesnt cut it to todays standdards... 6/7-10 for production and track... __ Rinse it OUT!!!! 13-05-2005 17:20 S.O.T.A. Takes a bit long before shit starts moving Ah, there we have the bassline. It's nice, good sound. Needs more bass and sub though, but the mid part sounds great. The second part of the track is somewhat less intresting, the bassline there is less intreaging.
