ok i havent tried this yet, but its free so lets give it a go.
apparently u can remove the frequencis from a track where the vocals would normally sit, so in theory u remove the vocals...my only suspicion is that it will probably get rid of a bunch of other stuff, but we shall see.

notch filter, actually. and yes it would dump the vocal range, but you'd loose anything else i that range, but that's how you get rid of vocal's in a full mixdown song.a high quality notch filter would rock.
