Please check out my new track 'Shimmer' and post your comments here!!!

This is unfinished business, but I was so chuffed when I found out the site was working again, I felt compelled to press the "upload" button once more immediately.

I quite like this, but have run out of ideas. Any comments and particularly suggestions more than welcome. Bigup

Ok so here is the review.
The baseline could be workout a little bit it`s somehow in the background( unless that was the idea) Interesting synths and very good sawtooth application in the middle.
The drums are ok but a little more variation in the drum kit???
Overall very good tune I might say.
Keep it up men interesting staff Bigup

the download got cut short only 3:09.. seems to be cut at the start too Confused

anyways... the intro melody doesnt really do it for me.. not sure why? but its too loud and goes for too long. i think it sould be more of a background sound rather than a lead

that harsh fm sound that pops in is cool, although it ends quite abruptly

its a bit too repetitive... just a bit Smile

some nice sounds though

keep this as a preview and ill lookout for the full version Smile

Confused anyone else?

dont want to bitch, but I only got 22 fucking hits and 2 reviews! this tune is NOT ALL THAT SHIT! compare it too others that are getting twice or three times that many on both counts! Cry Mad

for example, a guy who released a nine second long song has got more reviews and hits than I have. wtf Big Grin ?

EDIT: This guy called Finer from a mac music site did a nice vocal version, makes it sound very Postal Service like. check it out http://www.macidol.com/song.php?band_id=441&song_id=7761 if you wish

ah, probly cuz the tunes page was flooded with new uploads as soon as it was back in operation, so yours coulda gone down to the bottom of the list quick, and looked less appealing. somebody uploaded a tune that's 9 seconds? that's crazy.

melody in the intro needs to be a little quieter. the synth with a lot of delay on it sounds pretty good. drums seem fine, i guess. hm...do u cut ur reece short? the first three hits of it have reverb but the last one jus cuts off at the end.

this song has good sounds but is pretty boring, but you said you ran out of ideas, so it was to be expected.

during the drop, get a heavy lead synth, soundin sorta like an electric guitar, to play out some good melodies. it's what i'm visualizing. and more fx, some airy swirly stuff with panning should do. also, just vary the beat more. when you put the stutter on the maracas (i suppose thats what it is) it sounds kinda messy. leave that out i'd say, and spice up the beat differently, by putting your snares/kicks in different patterns, adding a real quiet background ride sample in a cool, groovy pattern. also if you can, get a real quick female voc sample, just an "ooh" or somethin that fits the melody, and maybe filter it a little, that would probly be nice. oh! i kno. try to put some acoustic piano lines in this.

well i think that's about all the ideas i have for this one. i like the melody. 5/10 for now.

Hey - nice track. Great melodies and really nice hi hats. There seems to be some clipping on the keys track. The melody sounds REALLY nice when the bass comes in and the touches when the keys drop off and the bass swells come in are great. Keep this one building with more swelling sounds maybe adding a few more abrasive sounds that sweep in back in the mix (with reverb - ambience) and this track is a perfect candidate for bongos! Very promising - I look forward to hearing the finished version.

Very clean, well produced track. Nice synth sounds. Nothing stands out as being memorable(hooks). This version is cut short just as it starts progressing.
