wow, and i thought we had an unimaginative insult vocabulary. i think, honestly, that the english started the swearing and insulting thing, starting with shakespears work. most of his stuff has some imaginative swears in it, but nothing condesned donw to a word.
usually the insults for a culutre is that cultures biggest hang up. having lack of insults, would mean lack of hang-ups.
in quebec, (here in canada) people make insults with the church references. it's odd. and the english speakers usually refere to sex, and more recently sexual prefernce. but that's kinda faded away with the legalized marriages of same sex couples.
