does anybody have any idea how to make the sound used for the synth stab in this track? i'm really doubting it, but better to give it a shot. it's probly analog anyway.

it's ed rush & optical - medicine

the sound's first played at 1:28 or so, kinda juno-hooverish. IS it just a tweaked hoover??

I could not listen to that version of medicine ( I have the matrix remix ) but it has no juno sounds on my version.

I think the sound you mean can be made with a moog type synth.

Greetings Dirk.

Sounds like a hoover with quite some filtering going on...

what stab?

the one in the beginning, or the ones when the tune drops...

for eitherway, i'd suggest try experimenting with a saw/square
handfilter the lfo, slighty detune & add glide. experiment with your adsr settings. attact / release or sustain would do the trick

maybe a tad chorus.

the one at the time i mentioned, a little after the tune has dropped. thanks for the tips guys, i'll probably just be experimenting with hoovers' envelopes, filters and such.

This is how you can make a simulair sound :

Use a pulse wave then put it through a lowpassfilter and close the cutoff almost . Then modulate the cutoff with an ADSR generator so that the filter opens at the rate you want when you play a note.
Try more oscilators and some distortion .
