Kinda new on this site , but i've been checkin' out some of the work upped here and all sounds good ...
now anywayz,...
This track is a lil' sumthin I had been workin on 4 skool.. I was makin a short-movie about : "Psycho" & "Hitchcock" , ...
So I made a soundtrack 4 it ... ( & actually its better than the movie
).
It's in 80kbps
though , but that way i could fit the entire track on this site , ...
Later ( in the vacation ) I will up an aditional track , to support this one .
Together they will be released on the "Amphetnocaïne EP"...
So tell me what u think bout it:
( keep in mind , it has a "psycho" theme connected to it & actually its not dance-music , it's a soundtrack).

Nice mood. Good drumwork. Nicely variated. One problem: it started boring me after only 3 minutes. Don't know why
Not bad work tho.

it's a nice track, for it's purpose offcourse
i think as a track it doesn't really qaulify, cause there's no real "buildup" (the " because there is but not ... well yea you know what i mean) and no breakdown, drop etc etc ...
but i can imagine a nice short movie on this track and i think if you have put the same amount of energy in the movie and it's content that the combination could be very intresting in a lot of different views
nice

Hehe I downloaded the track and it started playing in Winamp. In the meanwhile I was happily surfing away and suddenly I noticed this great piece of background music and I wondered 'huh what music is that?'. Well it was yours
Works perfect as background music
OK have to find me fones for a closer listen, can't put it too loud or I'll wake the neighbours...
...looking for fones...
OK the bitrate fucks it up quite a bit damn the high end sounds harsh
Sorry can't do anything about the 5MB limit, it's not my choice but my webhost's... had to bargain hard to even get 5MB...
One thing you should do is check the track in mono if it's meant for a video recording. Most people have mono TVs and you're moving sounds around a lot, might give an instable impression.
Hehe I like those haunted 'ie ie ie' sounds with the disharmonic strings, very Hitchcock
Whee I like this track, it's nice chill dnb, maybe some triphop influences Bristol style with outbreaks of fast drum work.

Thanx 4 the comment & the (constructive) criticism ( wich i can appreciate )...
This is still a work in progress 'cause , this version i made 4 skool , the next (& hopefully last) version will be made the way i want it ...
( the teachers can dig a break or two , but not 2 much tho
... )
Indeed , the track is to long , but it had to be in function of the shortfilm ...
i will re-patternize this track & put some mo' variation in the bassline "FX" & put a more "live" feel 2 it...
Then I'm gonna shorten it up & export it to 128kbps...
Together with an upcomin' track called "Angel Duster" (due this summer) , they will be released on the "Amphetnocaïne EP".
Keep in mind ,tho. I made this track with limited equipment & resources...
4 the sampling & mastering part , I used Wavelab 4.0
& for the structure , build-up(?) , melody & FX , I only used Fruity 3.5...

i see u can't build in a breakdown, but right before the amens kick in, i'd put a bit more silence like a mini-breakdown to give the amens a nicer impact. hope you see what i mean, but it is your tune, so you'd better not listen to me
great tune though can't wait to hear the better quality one.
VERY nice drumworks by the way.

Renamed the thread, couldn't find it first, it was called 'first track'
I just listened to the song again and noticed something that scared me quite a bit - one of the bass sounds has so much sub my woofers bulged out two centimeters
I only have 8" woofers so I can't hear the sub, but if I would have played it louder they would've torn
EQ out everything below 40Hz to be safe plz
And the main bass sound is defo out of phase, you put a lot of chorus on it or a phaser or something, this will not play back correctly on mono or on vinyl. Always be careful with basses, they should be in phase and placed in the centre to work well on vinyl.
Just some advice I thought you could use
