k, i dunno if i can post at the bugreports and suggestions thing place, but ill post it here then!
i was wondering who here thinks that instead of just wav based loops and samples at the downloads page,
we should be allowed to download and donate music making program's project files, soundfonts, mp3 and ogg samples, etc.
or maybe a special place were only producer status guys can upload project files, and add passwrod protection for the threads so that only sertain freinds or team mates could download, upload and work on the projects.
we all democrats, lets vote!

Same here, was planning on doing the same thing with reason (.rsn) files, but moreover, people here could exchange patches as well: all self-made sneering pads, deep growling basses,...
Watch the threads.

Would be a really nice feature, but I wonder how big the files can be? I've mixed some stuff where a single tune would take up over 1GB in bounced tracks. You can gain a lot by using zip or rar compression and I suppose FLP files are much smaller but still uploading a few hundred megabytes would be very difficult I think, if the connection is lost you can start over!
I can simply start an FTP server for that, that takes 2 minutes

.flp files are very small, and you have to include the samples in the package, if I'm not mistaken, so the size depends on the amound of samples used, so that would be only a couple of megabytes max.
And for .rns (Reason) files: the same, although here the samples can be included IN the file.
But I don't think anyone is intrested in FL or Reason files based on samples, except maybe for drumkits, which shouldn't be too big in filesize...

But I think everything should be properly organised
- VST patches
- FL files
- Reason files
and organised by type
- Synth patch (per type (hoover, reece), per synth offcourse)
- Effects patches (per type (delay...) per effect)
- Drumkis (...)
- Songstarters (...)
