Please check out my new track 'Introspection (suicidal tendencies mix)' and post your comments here!!!
For this track i decided to get to my dark roots, and see whati could conjure up...
A heavy roller with the "break" sample i was looking for...I cheated on how i used to rbeak sample as it was used almost exactly the same in one of Resonant Evil's tracks...but hey i add a reverse effect on another giving a "yeah" sound to it...so listen in for that...
Dont know what else to say....gonna have to check this one for details :)
Shouts go to: Mat for throwing in a sick monologue, and hooking me up with the "break" sample...Big ups
Made with:
FL5
Absynth
Delta
Albino
Native Bundle

hmm...i gotta tell you, i still don't quite like some of the different kinds of snares you put in there, the more metallic ones. they don't quite go with the other elements of the beat.
the bass is pretty good. the amen snare you throw in at around 4:40 is cool. cool fx as well
clicking on the bass? well, that's jus how the kickdrum sounds (he uses a deep kick for bass there). click is a prominent aspect in generating some kicks, if you take a look at a drum machine's knobs and such. sure i don't like it either
, but im just saying, it's not a flaw.
matt's vocals are inaudible at times, so they don't get to hear all of his excellent monologue.
i like your dark pieces a lot more at well, pure elements of dnb shown here, none of that more trancy shit
sorry but i'm just not used to it when you put it in there
i think the hey fits alright...and its actually break by the way
that open cymbal you use in the intro on every beat sounds kinda unprofessional used dry.
the intro needs more depth in fact, more atmo, because it's kind of empty.
surprised you decided to release this one so quickly... 4/5 tho, still some pretty good shit. peace

Nice punchy drums again - I see what you're getting at with the different snares but it should be steady without pauses and more hat work for that really aggressive "evol" feel. I recognize the absynth preset atmos. in the intro - I used it in the intro to "artful application of pressure". This is nice and dark, but the synths lack bite and aggression to match the drums which are quite aggressive and heavy indeed. (all programmed stepwise?) Progression of this one is unclear - monologue is cool but then it builds to more of the same from before it. Work some more on this one - I'm digging it a lot - more than the trancy stuff as dakside said. (and more Star Wars with Jabba - excited for episode 3 eh?)

yea all the drums were programmed by me...me me me..woot woot! :p...and i did relese this early just because i was eager to hear what people had fealt about the general feel of it...
for what rokon said about the break...i thought they were w bit loud too...hmm...but i think they deff fi thte track...i loved the sample...
and the vocal was atough one...ther are a lot of dumb frequencies on it that i have to filter out...silly vocal...
but the clicking? well its not a kick...its a sine wave, but its pogo'd so it gives it that kick and boom down sound to it...soo...i like the clicking...gives it that in your face sound imo...but cheers for the reviews!!!!!
i wanna know what everyone else thinks! keep em comin guys!

Ok i like the dark style and the laughing
The intro seem ok but somehow the cymbal don`t match in this track???
Anyway I like the way you`ve filetered your metalllic snares( If you programed them yourself, because i program the beats my self also so I get the idea )
Intesteing vocals but it seems that you`ve made some smal errors with the mastering with them
In general I could say that this exelent work , great idea and of course the song is rolling
If I had to rate this from 1-10 i would give it 9
My compliments about the drums you`ve programed I would give them 10
Keep it up men looking forward to your new track

Great drums and drumswitches! I hear a lot of my samples in there
The 'break' sample sounds a bit dry. I would give it a 6 step delay...
Drop: quite nice, but your bass and sub need work. Distort it and then lowpass it, to make it more warm sounding. Also reEQ it a bit lower.
The mid of that reece is a bit too loud.
Vocal in the breakdown: could use some compression imo.
I would say: the drums sound quite good, but the rest needs some reEQing.
Nice track though!

no offense but every song that i have heard by you needs to have more bass. other than that it is a very good song. can i dj it tonite? Please!!!!! the drums are cool in this song and you always have crazy melodies. how do you come up with this shit? what is that vocal sample from? is that from pi? And i think more DNB artists should put the Jabba laugh in their songs. for bass i will give it a 2.5/5 and for drums i will give it 5/5. keep the evol shit a-comin'!!!!

always nice to hear tracks from you, surora man
I've heard that "YEA!"-vocalsamplething before
samplepacks
anyways, drums comin' in, nice work
the first synth is comin' in after the jabba-laugh
bit late.. had to press these awful speakers against my head to feel that bass.. nice synth though
nice selection of samples
it's getting harder every time to rate you man, really
hmmm those subs are really really low, really, all I hear with these speakers are click clickclick click click click clickclick
wait I'll go fetch my headphones..
nope still too low
anyway:
drums: 4.5/5
bass: ???/5

what version of absynth are you using? manic drumwork, some pretty sick editing...there's a tiny bit of clicking on the sub---if you used a compressor, you'd probably wanna lower the attack a bit to something a tad bit slower, as a really fast attack can sometimes cause those annoying clicks...it's not at all noticable when everything's going, but during the breakdowns you can totally hear em...heavy, heavy tune tho, but the ending is kinda weird...i had this on repeat and at first it was hard to tell when the tune ended...solid effort tho, you're improving at a very fast rate...keep up the good work...

I don't see what the problem is
Except maybe that for some reason you don't like him and want to be negative about his tracks.
If you can't be somewhat objective about a track, for whatever reason, please don't review! This goes for everyone!
Thank you.
