it's dance music. totally different than a sit and enjoy on the couch sort of music.

they use grooveboxes and scratching, so basicly there a live band, and the albums don't do justice for the amazing sound they would be able to whip up live.

besides they got a deal not because they sound good, but because everyone knows them, that's what gets you a deal.

in short, there not like us.

their tunes are simple and repetitive but the sounds they make are awesome.. they get away with such simple tracks cos there is so much depth in the sounds

aw cmon people your not actually into this cheezy crap.....no wonder dnb is going down the tubes.but i have to admit their production is fat.or should that be Phat!

and if where talking production not tunes then danni minogues album (with that i begin to wonder track on it.....dont know what its called) is top notch production......done by some mad swedish production team....ok the music sucks but if you want a benchmark for your sound then this isnt a bad start.
also fourtets rounds is wiked sounding, and hybrids stuff is nice and warm as well

Most things you look for is on discogs...

Basicly they got signed up because they created a completely new sound and because of that - their first singles caught the attention of some bigger labels...

The label they initially worked with is Soma, which is still active (was founded in '91) but don't think DnB alike stuff is really their thing when I look at their list of artists (Slam/Funk D'Void/Daft Punk/...)

Personally think they became too "soft" - I loved Homework, but don't really like what they are doing right now...

This does not only count for them, several other bands in French house also became very soft and boring in their later releases.

have you guys seen the daft punk anime.....Interstellar 5555. Fuckin' sick. It is basically an anime set to Discovery. You know the video for One more Time......it is basically that but a full length movie. A must see for anime or house fans.

Yea, they only played it in small cinemas and only somewhere where noone would even think to come and see it...(cartoons at 0.00, who goes to see a film at that hour is totally insane)
