I'm thinkin about buyin a new mixer.
I want something with four channels, so i could put some cdj1000 on it when i have the money to afford those.
Preferebly one with a fader that fades smooth not like:
BANG: other track in
BANG: track u were playin out
just smooth: letting chnl 2 come up and chnl 1 go down?
And no fancy effects on it, just cutoff, and that even maybe...
And oh yeah-> designed and engineered to last...
Please dont post ones that cost like 1billion€

What kind of mixer are you looking for exactly? 19inch with a lot of channels, 2channel battlemixer, or something in between? Maybe go for and adjustable curve crossfader, so you can put it the way you want. Rane, pioneer, vestax, ecler, allen&heath are a few very good brands. But tell me what you want exactly and i'll give you some more advice

Allen&Heath Xone 62 there 1100$ (us) but youre not gonna get a better sound anywhere else...and unfortunatle...nost 4 channel mixers dont have linear faders(especially on the up faders) that are innexpensive...so unless youre willing to throw down some dough...youre going ot have ashit mixer for a long time...those are just the facts....of course you cna compromise with mixers such as american audio 19" mixer (its got some cool digital effects and a color display) ther are also some stantom 4 channel 19" mixers...but i tend to think theyre a little too bulky...your best bet is either
a djm500 (pioneer) you can get them used on ebay for prolly about 600
a djm600 (pioneer) for about 600-1000
OR
if oyu want the best quality and sound, get a Allen&Heath Xone62....but remember youre paying for quality and youre not going to get a better sound anywhere else...Not to mention the sick filters on the (X-Y) assignable channels...
Good luck

make sure you get one with a crossfader curve if you do a lot of cutting up tha beats...cheap faders don`t sound even and you can really tell when you cut....
allen and heath are great but way too much for the average person to afford...rane or vestax i would recommend...they`re not the cheapest but you can find a decent one with good features...for around 300 bucks....also make sure the EQ`s actually cut frequencies not just muffle them....

rane doesnt make crap for good 4 channel mixers...
Rane is strickly battle quality...
Vestax makes a good 3 channel mixer called the pcv 275...you can get that for around 400 (if youre lucky)
THEN there is teh Vestax Rotary...its been compared to athe allen&heath v6 before...obviously the allen&heath is beter, but the vestax comes with a built in eq (2 band, but thats more than usual cause almost ALL rotary mixers do NOT come with eq's) and is 19"...a great buy...but they dont make them anymore so if you find one on ebay its a great steal...
But stay away from names such as Gemini, Ecler, Rane, Stanton, numark...again your best bets are going to be...
Tascam x9 (i didnt mention that before but its a graet 4 channel, with tons of effects...around 800$)
A denon digital 4 channel (its the first 12" Mixer, i dont remember the model name but it sells for around 900) its similar to the tascam x9 and has LOADS of feautes as well...
Then the club standards of the Pioneer Djm500/djm600
and the allen&heath xone62 (4 channel 1100$ ) xone32 (3 channel 700$) or the xone92 (the new one with midi capabilities-4 channel- for 1600)
There are many quality choices you cna make...but it doesnt go cheap my friend...

well youre not going to get a decent 4 channel mixer then...i assume yuou havent been mixing if you dont knwo this...Anyone can buy a 4 channel mixer that will obviously doits purpose but the quality just isnt there...
If you dont want to worry about digital effects and hi quality sound...stick to shity ass gemini (made for begginiers use) or a stanton...
as i said before..goodluck...

I'm spinnin since october 2004, so dont come tellin me I havent mixed before.
I've got a 5 + 2 mic channel JBsystems mixer, and it's a metal box with electroinics in it.
I dont want this plastic toy-like lookin mixer that costs more to fix when it breaks down then to buy a new one...

i didnt say you havent mixed before but im a dj of 3 yrs so please dont get cocky...your underestimating teh power of these mixers..and the only reason why it would breakdown if the faders wore out with onlyt cost like 70$ to replace which isnta big deal...and the only other way its gonna break is if you spill some shit on it...
And jb systems isnt a very repitable company unless it comes to actually systems such as speckesr and etc...so i can see why you want a new one...and they dont look like plastic toys...if you cant work a complex mixer than practice with it...one day youre going to go into a club and a djm600 is gonna be infront of you and yorue not gonna knwo waht to do...so please dont get all pissy when im trying to help....

And that plastic is because i once needed to mix on a rane mixer, man, that was a piece of crap.
No smooth mixin, no nothing.
And it was in blue plastic.
even my jbs is better than that.
I'm kinda like searching a good one in the -500$/€ class..
