Nice Track!
likes:
-the Hi-Hats, very "synthy"
-Overall Rythhm evolution, nice use of different instuments
-Mastering / Mixdown, good smooth frequencycurve
dislikes: (don't take this as a "big bad" mkay
)
-Song needs more melodic content
-Bass needs just a tad more "oomph"
-at approx -2:20 the song slowly fades away into just
the rythm, you should just cut it and introduce a phat
vocal of some quote-sample or something.
Overall verdict: 7.8
Good work!

Beats seem a bit simple. Add some layers... Hihats are a bit agressive on my ears. There's a peak at 6.7khz, you might wanna put a filter on that
Bassline isn't great, but not bad. The melody could be more intresting though, it's a bit dull, I'm afraid.
It's a bit repetetive too, try adding more stuff, that way you have more variation possabilities...

Metronomic flow!
Kickin' snare!
Fresh steppin'!
Imo i think you really succeeded in making
this track a good solid 'basic operation' for..:
adding/layering some catchy stuff 'in beneath'
to lift it up, especially in the mid-section.

than put the wav in there, or export some of the sounds, and layer ontop of that.
another cool thing is to just opne a new file and fiddle around and make a bunch of one shot noises. than you can just plop them in when need be.

here my review
not to bad intro drums...but if you want a techy track...gotta hav ethe BEEF
the way you bring things in are a bit subtle maybe...use a crash on like every 64 counts or so... you rbing everything in...man that frequency is making my get a headache...filter it out mate :p everything seems pretty minimal...so real break downs or heavy drops as in techy hardstep tracks...gonna want to keep that in mind...techstep-hardstep is all about durms...crazy insane drums... i would almost call this more of a jump up track than a techystep track
all imo :p
here are my ratings...
2.75/5 track-not mah thing, and the track doesnt really go anywhere
3/5 sound-not horrible sound...things just sound a bit lo fi and that cymbal is tearing at my ear drums...
3/5 rating over all
__ Rinse it OUT!!!!

That's right , when I make songs i compare them and try to take those bad elements away , but..it doesn't always go that easy
