Im trying to create my own tramens at the mo & I think ive got it pretty much sorted with all my hits in the right place, but my beats are being let down by my lack of decent ride cymbals.

Are there any good sites with ride samples I can download or does anyone have any they would like to share with me?

You can't make your own tramens, it's called a tramen for a reason, and if you're not using an amen and a samurai combined, it's not a tramen. If you want to make your own tramen, you have to layer an amen and a samurai break.....otherwise it's just your own original break.......you'll never recreate the sound of a tramen without an amen and a samurai....unless you had the actual drum sets that they used for those breaks. If you want to make your own tramen, just layer a samurai and an amen....simple as that, I do it all the time, that way you can get the amens to be as crunchy as you want, and the higher samurai break to be as crispy as you want.....a rather nice turnout if I do say so myself.

you can find tequnics how to set up drums for good dnb recordings. like deep sounding tom's a piece of plastic on the snares or something... tight bd.

I've always wanted to find a good drummer who could rip out some good breaks at 180 bpm's......it would seriously set you apart from most DNB producers out there.....I found one kid who can drum pretty fast......but I would never be able to rely on him to keep up a whole 7 min. session at 180 BPM's. Any thoughts on this?

gorillaz didn't do live shows and they made it.

well they DID do live shows AFTER.

i think.

but umm, with a live drummer, you don't need to PLAY at 170, the amen doesn't play at 170 but about 140, you can speed up beats, or even with Attack, you can just record a lot of the drum hits, and than have a variety to play with and set up a good sounding sample.

at the least you can chop up a live drum session that was done at 140.

No no no, I'm not talking about all that. I can already take a drum beat at 30 bpm's and make it a dnb break if I wanted to.....I'm talking about a drummer playing a real drum set at 180 bpm's....and especially not at 170.....that's waaaay too slow. I mean most of us here could take a slow drum beat and speed it up, but I want that raw feeling of a fully grown man beating the shit out of a drum set at 180 bpm's.....it's the feeling I'm looking for.

In an interview with Dom and Keaton, Dom says that the Tramen is made up of 3 breaks. Does anybody know what that third break is?
