a good way to make basslines, is to get a lot of different distortion vst's since everyone of them sounds different it's what helps make any bassline aggressive and sharp, or smooth and warm, depending on the type of distortion

well here is what i will do at times,
ill cut out the actual wave shape of a bass that i like, then load it into 0sc3 and add lots of effects.
you can legaly steel wave shapes Smile

but 0sc3 gets to be a bit lame if you dont use enough effects on it, and if you dont make custom wave shapse. FM is all about controling hte shape of a wav, and there is more tehn 1 way to do that.

Strange, but when I put the shape in 3xosc, it plays the same note - no sound changed. What should I do? I mean, it should play the sample bass on the notes right, and not the same 3xosc sound? Help here! Smile

veeeeeerrrryyyyyyy low cpu usage (on my pentium1 i was around 4%)
nice sounds
easy to use

whith the Detuned Techno Lead preset and turning some switches, adding some distortion(fx) and bassboost(fx) you've created a reece, and a good one, in like 15min

edit: forgot
JX10, is kinda like the same, but for free, and a lil bit more complicated than JX16

yea it is a nice one. does make some smooth detunes. not a thick and beefy, like "warm" sound, but it does do detuned. and free, and fast, and good.
