Artificial Intelligence
Artificial Intelligence is a production duo hailing from North London. Composed of Glenn Herweijer and Zula Warner, they have been releasing tracks on a variety of major labels, from the dark and heavy styles of Commercial Suicide and 31 Records to the more Latin tinged, happy vibes of V recordings and Soul:r.
But just who are A.I and where have they come from? Mistaken by many for newcomers bursting onto the scene, this assumption is far from the truth. They have paid their dues and are now justly reaping the rewards of slumming it. Having worked hard in the scene, in one shape or another, for ten years it's hardly surprising that Glenn and Zula take offense when people tag them with the "newcomer" badge. The work they have put in and the knowledge gained from it over the years is the reason why they are here now, releasing quality records on even higher quality labels.
Artificial Intelligence is at the top of their game in the DJ circuit as well. Undeniably one of the busiest and most popular drum n bass talents today, A.I. regularly headlines at the top events in Europe and beyond including The End, Fabric, Swerve, Movement, Faster and Breakin Science just to name a few.
With 10 years of experience under their belts, A.I are riding high on their early success confident that they have what it takes to make it in the scene as well as providing the punters with quality tunes, knowing that when you pick up an A.I record you know you will get quality. They sum up their ethos as, "We want to spread our music to as many people as possible that's the whole reason for doing it in the first place. It's the satisfaction of making it but also of spreading it to as many people as possible. Not like a preacher or a talker on the TV. We prefer to let our music do the talking across the world. You make some kind of mark on people's minds." And they have already made a hell of a mark in certain circles and without a doubt more is on the way.

Easys mixing style reflects some of the djs that have influenced him over the years:
When I play out I want people to be entertained, so I try to mix fast, keep it running and make it harmonically sound so you really get the impression of listening to one big ever changing tune. People like Derrick May have been really influential for me when it comes to that. People who say that dj-ing isnt creative havent really understood much of it if you ask me. For me its all about taking 2 tunes and turning them into something new.
His track selection could be called future soul music, ranging from minimalistic bass-ridden rollers to sexy vocal tunes, from harder to softer stuff but always funky and soulful - locked in a solid groove.

Interested in electronic music at an early age TwEeD listened to things like synthesizer music, early hardcore (first Thunderdomes, Mystery Land, etc..) & his first musical love The Prodigy. Getting a bit older and noticing the submergence of house & techno, and not liking those styles in full, he slowly edged away from electronic music and began listening to more analogue music as (hard)rock and later Skate-punk, reggae, dub, ska.
