If you have one of the following problems when you are downloading tracks or DJ mixes you can probably solve it by following the instructions below.
- When clicking on a track the Tunes page keeps reappearing but nothing is downloaded
- When downloading a track it has a .htm or .html extension and cannot be played
1. The Tunes page keeps reappearing but nothing is downloaded
If this happens your firewall or browser is blocking the 'HTTP referer' data. Most people that are having this problem have Norton Internet Security or Norton Personal Firewall on their system. Please check below for detailed instructions on how to fix this.
If you are not using Norton Internet Security, you need to check the settings of your firewall and browser and make sure the sending of HTTP referers is enabled.- Try disabling the firewall and see if that helps. If it does you need to change your firewall preferences so that HTTP refering is not blocked. Usually you can either enable it for all sites, or only for drumnbass.be. This might involve adding drumnbass.be to the list of trusted sites.
- Some browsers also have a feature that blocks HTTP referals. If you're using Opera, make sure that 'enable referrer logging' is enabled in File > Quick Preferences.
Note: Enabling HTTP referers does not cause any security or privacy risks, it is a standard part of the HTTP header that is sent with every page request and allows sites to check if a page was opened from within the site or was coming from an external site. We use this feature to prevent people hotlinking their tracks in other sites.
If you use Norton Internet Security or Norton Personal Firewall:
You need to add this site to the list of trusted sites to be able to download music.
- Right click the Norton Internet Security icon in the under right corner and choose Advanced options.
- Choose add site and add "http://www.drumnbass.be"
- then choose the site out of the list and use the Privacy tab on your right.
- Make sure Cookies are permitted to be able to login automatically + be able to read your pm.
- Also permit the Referer option to allow the links to download tracks.
- I also permit the browser option (it was standard permitted).
Thanks to Akura for this information!
2. The track is saved with a .htm extension and cannot be played
This is probably because you are downloading the track by right-clicking on the track and chosing 'save target as' or 'save link as'. Instead simply click on the track and it will be downloaded automatically.
__ If you find spam on the site, please hit the button and select my name. I'll personally kick it to the murky depths of hell where it belongs!
