That's a lot of money indeed, but still not THAT much compared to some other superstar dj's as fatboyslim, armand van helden or Jeff Mills would ask! They would make like 10-20grand a gig for a 2 hour set. 5star hotel & first class flight not included.

you know utter muppet's got a point, many bands use to use the movie samples and everything in rock bands. you know get that full metal jacket quote in before the song. it doesn't happen anymore because there is so much legal bullshit to go through. i am just pissed off in how concrete there power goes. how corperations get to choose what's best in Amerika. not the people.

Why are all you guys bitching about this? You don't even live in Amerika!! We're the ones who have to deal with this.....not you!! You guys all think you have it so bad because Amerika is taking everything over.......WELL I HAVE TO LIVE HERE!! you may not have noticed but amerika is one of the biggest powers in the world. there global policies do affect everyone. they are the united nations.
i live in canada, we are dictaed by amerika. we want to decriminalize pot, but go, oh wait, what about amerika, they don't want to do that. we get flak for not joing your missle program, hell after 9/11 and the big "Anti-Terroist" laws that go up, we had to as well.
border security was amerikas big concern, ours was keeping them open for trade.
the legislation for that was called security and prosperity agreement. your security. we were just woried about keeping trade going.
what bush wants we have to appease. even if we hate him as much as anyone else, it's out biggest trading partner.
now, our own canadians criticize our military and security, only in light of amerika. we could get attacked from the st.lawrence they say. terrorist AT OUR DOOR! only cuz were next door to amerika.
hell after 9/11 we we're all gun ho and went to afgan with you. it was WAR!
now were not siding with you as much since iraq. hell bush was pissed off that we havn't joined the missle defence program he wants up. and we're still not giving in. our prime minister get pressure about it still.
you may not relalise it, but there are countries around the globe besides amerika. and amerika is an asshole to them too. especialy the french eh?
all i mean, ya, we don't live there. but we are all affected, it's called a "global village" as 'Marshall McLuhan has called it. you don't relise that when we turn on tv most of our channles are from amerika also. so we look into this land south of us and go, what the fuck?
can't help it, you got a few good shows. like that trading spaces one, so funny.
anyways, cops is a particularly nasty one for me to watch now. Entrapment! that's illegal here, if any cop tried to bait you into commiting a crime we would be off scott free and the cop would actualy be looked into by internal affairs.
you get charged.
but your laws seems to redicules and harsh. there's actual fines and criminal charges for downloading msuic. even jail time! proof
fuck, i feel sorry for you, and i am never EVER going to visit amerika, lest i get stuck ina detion center like my uncle who lvies there did.
a month stuck in there. everyday we had to call lawyers and help get him out of there for phoney charges from his ex-wife. mis-information statments by the police, they even at one point said they kept him there because he changed his mailing address, even though he filed all the right forms for it and sent them in, and they got them.
bull shit, NO CHARGES pressed, or ever went to court, no bail set becuase there was no charges only supessions. no right to defend to rights. he had a 1 year permit as a citizen, everything clean. illigal immagrints came and went with charges in 4 days.
there is more people like that he met there, that are stuck in there for months with no way to talk to anyone outside, not rights or privlages.
at least in jail you get rights, because your a criminal. for immagrants, you get the right to shut the fuck up.
oh well, i cannot even explain all the daily bullshit my family had to go through, on both sides of the border.
left with little money now from the money for the lawyers fees.
at least lawyers are still rich as hell in amerika. always will be.

The threat we are imposed to from America is the very thing why producers outside America react - because America holds the market of music, and has ennormeous influence over it. Unlike you, americans, that live there, and you already know the system, we feel threat to ourself, but an abstract threat. It is not actual threat, like you have (directly imposing rules within the borders of America) but like some abstract knife that we can't see (because it will be proceeded through governments and laws of other countries but still comes from America). You cannot find the source of this threat easily so that you can get behind it somehow.
That's why we react so vigorously.
The second reason is that we live in more open societies than yours (except maybe english/french/german people) and we are actually taught to react against anything which might erradicate our free will.
We are more free. Not completely, but still, we know more about ourselves, and you know more about you all.
I don't accuse you of this. I mean, America is getting to be a socialistic country, but unlike real socialism, this is taking after the USSR kwasy-socialism.
Watch out Americans, you are not yourselves there!

See, your last paragraph is the reason I'm bitching. I'm not myself in this country. I'm not allowed to think and move about freely. That's why I'm bitching...because I have to deal with it. i'd like to say canada is affect by amerika, but it seems like iraq would be affected a bit more, we don't have any troops stationed her,e nor have we EVER had any troops, less we die first.
come the iraq election, american troops started fortifying and digging in. not leaving them to there "free democracy"
