Please check out my new track 'choppin' up tetris' and post your comments here!!!
sort of messing with the drums, kinda like it though.. And this gameboy-effect on the synth is kinda cool too!

guess I made this in... 1:23 hours
I made my first track shortly before I registered here
)
registration was on 06-01-2005,
I've been playin' with sounds and samples since then, and after 3 months, I'm able to make this stuff in 1:23 hours, and then some guy tells me that he doesn't have respect for me cuz I use drumloops,
erm excuse me, mr. but I'm learnin'

oooooyea
those drums are soooo good
0:01 --> this reminds me of a direct-drive turntable
1:03 --> synth with gameboy-effect
I like the use of the reversed bassdrum
I like you
5/5
love you

Video games songs make AMAZING dnb tracks. but i thinkk that's another subgenere...
so anyways, you used the main tune as the bass line i guess?... i hope. cuz it was a low lead, or a high bassline. either way it started off in an akward position.
okay that's the bass, still not low enough.
nice lead, with hte lofi sound
try making the beats go a little off. you can keep them a rigid 4/4 like you have, but when the snare goes off a beat early or something, it's more pleasna,t more unpredictable. most dnb breaks, have soemthing off, it add's groove. just a single kick HALF a beat fast can do it.
but doing that might mean modifying the loop. do it.
kinda wanted more this the song. no matter how fast you make a song, it's not done.
ever.
so take your time, not like you'll ever finish it.

hehe funny vibe u got going. actually quite like it.....reminds me of some clipz stuff.
beat edits are nice but needs a lillte extra (like halph-price suggested).
Like the game-sounds....maybe f*ck them up a bit more (filters, distortion....dunno).
Needs work but is a good vibe and idea imo....

This is much better than the test.... short & sweet just the way it should be. Got some good drum work going on & synth line comes in at 1.04 it sounds pretty cool.
Nice track

i don't said i don't respect you
but isn't it unfair that youre beat roll as hell while we are strugeling to make good rolling beats with just samples?
I can make tracks with drumloops too you know but the reward of a track with a "homemade" beat is mutch bigger
and drumjoyce you don't now shit about producen so don't dis non-drumloop-users
i do respect you rude but it's just my opignon on it
cheers

Sorry i know that everyone starts somewhere but to me this is quite terrible.
Maybe I am being harsh, but this has no originality, to be fair this is the first track I have heard from you so it could be an improvement for you and please don't take too much offense. I don't know how long you've been making tunes.
This is just my opinion tho and you can take it or leave it. Music is subjective at the best of times and maybe I'm old and out of touch.
But I took the time to listen and felt I should give a review. I found it hard to find any imagination or musicality to it.
Drums sound like they were made with white noise, not alot of lo-mid so didn't have much weight to them. Cool that you are getting used to cutting up loops but these drums still sound stagnant. There's no problem with using loops either. There are no rules. Keep learning, that's the beauty of music.
Peace man
Matt
