Cakewalk is very active lately it seems
They have released a soft synth workstation called 'Project5' with a lot of possibilities. It seems to me as their answer to Reason
It supports ReWire btw
The features are a virtual analog synth, sampler and drum sampler, drum synth, groove sampler, sequencer, lots of effects, ...
Really seems like an interesting audio tool to look into!
Runs only on W2000 and XP, and the recommended system is a PIV 1.7GHz. Price is around 400 euro.
I've listened to the demo tracks but they're quite shitty, they should contact our registered producers to give them the soft for free in exchange for some good demos

don't think you can compare thisone with reason.
imo it looks a bit crappy with the fisherprice layout

Who cares about looks
I wonder what it sounds like!!!
BTW I do think it's a very clear response to Reason, maybe not the looks, but the fact that's a sequencer + lots of synths / samplers / effects all rolled into one
