Please check out my new track 'F.U.B.A.R. (clip)' and post your comments here!!!
F.U.B.A.R., it's unfinished, worked about 3 hours on it, but I like it, it's a great sound... and this time I've saved the project on floppy discs, now I just have to remember where I put them.
GREETZ ! Rude

remember were to put them?
hmm...
hey did you know that with the demo version of FL-Studio you can still export the wave files?
you just cant save the project.
so you can make loops with a demo of FL for free then put them all togeather in some sort of loop based program like ableton live 4 or somthing.
but its free though if you didnt know that yet.
and if you wanna re-construct a song in FL you can take a screen shot of the playlist then re-build it with exported paturns,
but my copy of FL was bought at a msuci shop,
no demo softwere crap for me haha.

intersesting, i like it but i can see other people not liking it. The distortion is cool but theres to much. the song is very messy. I'm sure you could fix it when you mix it. The melodey sound is border line chesey. I think even some reverb would help. cool sound just to messy
respect

For three hours work this is prodigous imo, particularly if your on a shit computer. Though it aint the tools its the workman of course: I made, in my humble opinion, some preetty heavy shit on my PS2 back in the day. And if it is messy thats to be expected after such fast development. Mebbe some of the sounds are a bit, but I'd say this is more catchy than just cheesy. Could see myself skanking away to this one real easy
but not like that hopefully. Anywayz you have the makings of a really wicked tune here, look forward to the final mix.

lol, you dont happen to know lizziekah in real life do you?
About the song:
Intro is ok, those bleeps are funny, sounds really electro-like. reversed crash is at the right time, but it sounds bad. May be change the sample... Bassline is a bit messy (at least on my speakers), but I think that could be fixed.
I dont really like the drums, they dont fit the track imo. With such a bassline you should really get a really tight rocking beat. (maybe an amen would be nice, but try to chop it up, and add some samples to the beat yourself, mainly just bassdrum, snare and maybe a hihat). But that's up to you. These drums just sound so minimal, the snare especially. I also notice that in the hiphop-part. (I think you should make that a little longer btw), but the drums there just sound bad, especially when played slow.
If you decide to keep these drums, then I suggest you do some heavy EQing, and give the hihats a little boost, and add some ghosts. And maybe change the snaresample...
So far about the drums, bassline is ok, but dont play it too much, it definitely needs more variation. As could be said for the vocals
They are good, but sound too irritating after they are played a few times in a row. The overall track is getting a bit boring after a while, but assuming you have only put 3 hours time in it, it's not that bad. There definitely have to be more elements in the track. But some ideas are nice (electro stuff at beginning, hiphop-break, vocals, sudden drop of the drums and bass at the start).

intro synth needs to come up a couple octaves...its too low and doesnt make much synth and theat second hi synth doesnt fit...change the sample...the drums are low fi, i cant hear the kick at all...i notice a lot of the samples from this site, especially that nasty reece sample i used in my krator track...i dont like how you loop it, it just doesnt make sense for that sample...its suppose to be a nasty hit...nothing melodic really..some relaly really really really good ideas...but just approached the wrong way...
2/5 sounds and production (a lot of levels off mate
)
2.75/5 track (like i said good ideas, just made the wrong way )
keep it up youre makign great progress

Those samples sound familiar......where have I heard them before?
Seriously Rude dude, you got the potential man. This is definately something that could be on its way. You need to drop those samples and start making it yourself though. Learn how to make bass like that with a dual osc. synth and you're in business mandingo!! The intro is a bit weak, could definately use some beef, or chicken, whichever meaty product you choose. You have the potential though, you have the musical inclination.....you just need to educate yourself in the art of synthesizing, and work on the mixing a little bit. Parametric EQ's are your best friend!!!
Ummm....rating......:
3.7/6.4 for the sound.
5.9/6.0 for the idea!!

let's start by saying that the idea of the track is good
but for the rest of the track I agree with stutterstep: It's just too messy..
the main beat is too simple, needs more variation imo and needs to be harder
bassline could be good but the choir is ruining it..
good effort, but try again
