Please check out my new track 'Eternal Refuge (test)' and post your comments here!!!

First things first, this is not a finished product....at all. I've recently come into contact with some new hardware and software, and this is a test of its capabilities. I am merely posting this to get some opinions on the sound. Are the highs too high? I made that tramen myself, simply took the original Amen out of a high quality recording of The Winston's "Amen Brother", and I acquired the Samurai break from the download section of this site. Then I just did your basic distortion, compression, EQ with them. All the synth was programmed in Reason 2.5, and the drumwork and sequencing was done in Fruity Loops Studio 5. The mastering work was done on T-Racks. Does the bass come through ok? Is the Amen conflicting with the Samurai? Did I over-compress it? These are the kinds of questions I'd like you guys to answer. Any and all opinions are most welcome, even the bad ones.

This was great. I'd have to say it's better than 85% of the stuff I've heard on here, and it's just a sample clip. Nice work, keep it up!

Hard to know what to say seeing as it is under a minute long, but it sounds like it has got the potential to be a real roller. It seems quite original aswell. Not exactly my cup of tea, but in its own way looking nice. Bigup

it's gonna rock when it's finished

Any more takers? It's not a big download, not a long listen, and I'm really just looking for some technical advice. Need to know how it sounds around the world, because off my speakers.....it sounds fucking sick as hell. Just hoping it's not my speakers.

Very sweet sounding amen, although a bit more punch would be welcome, but otherwise great work man!

Bassline is maybe just a tiny bit too loud.
