I tried that shit.......BOGUS!!! Seriously though, you can't expect a .wav file being played forward and backward with your mouse to be able to mimic the chaotic manipulation of vinyl with one's hand. And why is this thread called Reece with Reason man? Trying to lure people? Well it worked with me!!

I fully agree! why even bother! record someones scratching.
Scratching is all about technique/skillz and subtle manipulation of a record. They are never ever gonna come even close with a program to the naturall feel of someone scratching the decks.
I mean, check out a technics DMC championship video/dvd. Good luck trying to emulate that on a computer...y're gonna need it!

Brothaz, everything can be emulated, and even skratching. Only a real life conditionals should be put in the skratch machine, and the rest wil kill the history of killing vynil

that would be an interesting emulation, a scratcher. maybe special audio files, but it would be hella popular.

Proggies like finalscratch use timecoded vinyl to manipulate digital audio (play wavs back- and forward) So just translate the finalscratch timecode into sometnig that can control your favourite scratching pluging, record the events & you're done. Once u got those it must be possible to adapt them to get the scratch u would like. Anyone say impossible?

fl scratcher has some interesting 4 dials that don't tell you at all what they do but make the wav file get fucked up a bit to sound like scratching.
