Hi I had been using FL for years, and I got really comfortable with it. I recently switched to mac os x hoping for a better future and i got let down. I need a program that you can sequence like FL by dropping samples into channels and such. What is there for mac? I already tried Motu Digital Performer, its way to crazy for DnB production. Does anyone in this forum produce with a mac and has a good solid program?
Thanks

Don't have a Mac, but you should look at these things
- Cubase
- Logic
- Reason

Logic is the top music production software and is only available for mac. Check it out, take some time to learn how to use it and you'll probably never want anything else.
It's a bit of a different league than fruity loops in complexity but once you get the hang of it it's a wonderful tool.

Oh yeah Surya is right, check out Reason, it's a nice step upwards from Fruity Loops, it's still very intuitive to work with.

Amperror, first things first, I am in love with your inch-wurm llama thing.
Second things last, you seriously like Ableton Live? I didn't like the interface at all, and it seemed rather limited. I suppose I didn't take enough time to check it out fully, and was mostly put off by the cartoony interface, but I seriously didn't think that highly of it. Is it really that good of a program? Does it compare with, let's say, Cubase as a sequencer/recording program?

Mac= LOGIC....
emagic (logic develloper) was taken over by apple mac a few years ago. so emagic is only for mac nowadays (despite the many pc-platform users).
Logic is the shizl!....not easy to start with but invest some time into it and y'll be amazed! Pro stuff!
I'm a pc user myself(cubase sx3), but if i was on mac i'd defo be using logic.

Albeton is probably what you want for somthing like FL, there both Sequencers. Albeton4 is the best Alternative.
only the Drum machine has only 8 samples/machine, not unlimited like FL. but still, it is easy to mod them and time strech and stuff, very fun.

i does not really matter, what ever u use, u use, what ever gets the music best out of u. i think that alot of poeple get 2 in to equipment and comps when they should just focus on making better music.

Logic. Full stop.
Dillinga uses it along with most other pro DnB producers.
I use it and it still continues to amaze me, without adoubt it is the best software available on any platform. Features such as full synth track automation, advanced profesional plugins, industry standard drum machines, hundreds of built in instruments and the capability to alter them to your exact desire, track freezing (well useful), amazing for linking up studio equipment.
Basically, you get your mac, you get your logic, you get your record deal. Fruity loops aint shit compared to this bad boy. And im using logic express! Logic pro is about a grand to buy but just woah!!!!
Anyway get it!!!!!

Been reading user-problems on severall boards and a mate of mine has also been telling me that version 7 is crashing on him.....

Thats nasty man, ive had logic ex for a couple of months and had no probs, but yeh, stear clear of the pro version if its dodgy, one thing tho u need a pretty hardcore mac to run logic express smoothly let alone pro. I cant comment on it until I get it but I stick to my words about logic express, it rules.
