sheit man, I just realized there's a rating via stars on some of the tune threads. How are these ratings gathered/entered? Have they always been there, or is this a new function. Maybe I'm just slow and never noticed...

This is the 'thread rating' function which you can find at the bottom of every thread page.
I'm working on a rating feature in the listen section too where people can rate on several aspects of a tune like originality, tune quality, production quality, danceability, buildup etc. The rating will be both for the registered members (member rating) and for regular visitors who are not registered (visitor rating) which is IP-based so people cannot easily vote multiple times on a track which makes it more fair.
I'm planning to implement this when the site contains 50 tunes.
