i've talked about it before, but , man do i feel stupid now. i just turned the screen resolution up, and it gave me enough room. smaller text, but i got use to it.
no need for a duel monitor.
just thought you'd like to know, in case you have a compliant about screen space.

that sure helps but too small text isn't easy to read. I've seen a program that turns ur desktop into some kind of 3D orb. quite strange but since it allows u to 'scroll' between screens it could save u some space. Still dual monitors are nice...

yeah i guess that's a solution.
But imo, dual-monitors rule! I couldn't do without anymore! Makes working with multiple vsti's/progs so much eazier.
I would recommend it to everyone.

well if that scrolling screen thing slows down preformance, even by just a few precent, than that's nto good at all for production ont he computer.
maybe if you're doing accounting in Excell, or something. but not for other applications.

Set your resolution on 10^23 x 10^21 and take a electronic microscope to produce... what a space, huh?

I have 1600x1200 on my CRT but will switch to twin displays as soon as I get the cash sorted.
Those new flatscreens with 1920x1200 are
Imagine having two of those!!

Plasma aren't that good!
crt are still the best for "fast moving" display, while lcd or tft are good for "static" apps.
A 22' crt mitsubishi would be the best for me, as good as iiyama but cheaper!!!! ( same electronic!!!
)
nec is good as well.

That's a "wrong" resolution since it is not 4:3, like your monitor. If you use this resolution to do image-editing, or for watching movies, you get fucked up results. Use 1280*960 instead, that is perfect 4:3

So do I... I will only start using flatscreens if
- They don't cost more
- Have at least the same imagequality (by that I mean fast enough, bright enough, dark enough, vivid enough, under all angles)
- Have the same lifespan (which they DO NOT have at the present time!)

thank you.
the flatron crt, the ones taht have awsome resolution, and are kinda curved, like looking into a fishtank, thoes are THE best monitors. thee better ony uor eyes because of the curvedness. and there AMAZING resolution! AMAZING!!!!! we have one in my house and my mother uses it for her graphics ediiting, and fuck, i see ad's that i get all the tiem on my own monitor, and there like Cyber-Sexy ....

The main downsice on CRT's is the flicker. That can make your eyes feel tired. Offcourse u can minimize it by increasing the screen refresh rate. Another litlle downside is the curvedness, allthough that keeps getting better. Talking about High-res screens: The place I worked untill a few weeks ago we had 5Megapixel screens. As well CRT as LCD. Do I still need to say those give some damn sharp image?

i love the price. but with Dell you cannot even get CRT's anymore. only the crappiest, cheapest monitors LCD ever. even other cheap LCD monitors are good, but dell has the worsest.

and don't forget t have a good graphic card, that's obvious!!!!!!
trust me on that one: mitsubishi rules on crt, even on 17', if u can get one halph on ebay, just go for it!!!!!!
And ATI graphic card are the best for dual displays, even on a tv screen!
