Please check out my new track 'Defy Order (ft. MC Ant Rog)' and post your comments here!!!
Fresh sound in jungle/DNB production. I can't stand the whole Crunk thing and all the BS go'in on in hip-hop (no talent shit beats). I see alot more heart and quality in the dnb scene, this is more a less a shot at that. I wanted a real raw organic feel to this. My main question is how you feel about the change from sampled to syth bass halfway through. Lemme know if it works. Any input is greatly appreaciated. Enjoy!

I like this funky intro, especially the drum rolls. The amen sounds good as well. However imo u use the same pattern quite often, i would probably vary it up a bit... The one shot drum patterns also probably need more hihat, esp near the start. Perhaps u could try tightening up the drums with compression.
The lyrics are good, but perhaps a bit muddy. Also u need to more clearly defined fills. U bring some in towards the end, maybe u should drop them earlier. They ought to really add some flow to your tune, as it does seem quite choppy at times.
Overall the tune nice, most of my pointers are probably just a matter of opinion...

The intro is different, a very electro feel to it, although I like the amens dropped in. I like the swing to the beat, The vocals are great, and a change to the usual beats heard on most other tunes.
The only comments I would have, would be to bring in the amens a little more throughout the tune, you add them a lot more at around 5:00 of the track, although putting them more throughout the track would add more variety to the overall sound, you have some great little rolls and stuff at the end.
Nice work, and different! Thanks

Thanx for all the input. I'll probably toy around with some more drums. I figured this one would pretty much be hit or miss with most listeners since it's kinda different.

Havent heard too many DnB songs with MC's on this site, but this sounds excellent. I love the song, and the MC makes it even better.
Bass isnt that bad, but gets a bit annoying after a while... (when listening to the song for the 2nd or 3rd time..
) May be a little more variation.
Beat is good, Snare could be EQed a little bit better, but I like the layout of the beat anyway.
The Vocals could be a little better recorded, but may be just a little less reverb, and some more volume.
Not the regular type of DnB, but I definitely like it
Good job!
Cant wait to hear your next track, hopefully with another good MC! (btw: say to him that he did a good job
)
Definitely 3/5, but that could be improved if you would finish the track well!
So 3/5 for now

Hmmm, a bit repetetive, no? Drums could use more of a rolling feel though. Add some ghostsnares.
Apart from the amen, which sounds quite good, there's almost no high-end in this track, work on that.
Drums should have punch, but should also sound clear and crisp so using good hihats and cymbals is essential, as is good EQing of everything.
Give the bassline a lil boost, and make the sound of it a lil bit more raw.
Try reEQing the vocal to sit a bit better in the whole mixdown, now it drowns a bit in the mix.
1.75/5 for the track
1.5/5 for the sound.
