Reason 3.0 is currently being beta tested. There is no set release date yet, and the beta testing goes on until the bugs are gone. How long this will take is very hard to say in advance but i guess they'll let us know as soon as they can...
And how do you rate it?? Simple: 10/10 in advance....

That's one giant bug then...
I've got the same problem with msn, it seems.
There's always this huge, colourful butterfly.... appears friendly though...

Erm, wasn't there a new high quality EQ in the mastering suite?
And you can also use the vocoder and the RV7000 as an EQ if you want!
It's suposed to ship in a few weeks...

You hardly see any decent EQs on mixing desks, I always use a seperate EQ on every chanel, whatever program I use...

Yep, a whole new soundbank, I think it will mainly contain a shitload of Combinator patches, making it unusable for 2.5...
My wishlist for Reason 3.x:
- A decent delay unit (with possability of ping-pong delay, cutoff with each step and stuff every decent delay unit has)
- A simple volume and pan unit (shouldn't be to hard to make, no?)
- A decent filter unit, containing HP and Notch filters, why isn't there one yet, I REALLY miss that!

the ability to record vocals and a sampler that actually samples sounds would be brilliant!

Hm I used ping-pong delay in reason with no problem. use 2 delay devices in mixer as send effects, pan one hard left second hard right, set one to for example 3beats second to 4beats [or 4/6] and use it in channel that is playing sound. sounds pretty good.

Nice tip! And a good example that knowing the basics of your devices makes you create new things

honestly I think the opposite, reason has every important effect and device you need to achieve some things. It's like Lego, when you have enough imagination you can create very nice things. When you are used to load some effect and patch it's not the way to go. Altough reason has some advanced delay unit in the advanced reverb section. I still think that delay and reverb in reason is one of its best features and I miss them as vsts

Yeah, I know, but sometimes I want a simple normal standard ping-pong delay... I've acheived it by making one chanel have a delay of 3, with feedback to 0 and hard left, the otherone a delay of 6, feedback 0 and hard right. Signal all wet offcourse. Route those thru a delay, together with the dry signal, and you come close, but the first few delays have a fucked up volume, doesn't sound natural...

reason isn't trying to be the best at everything, ti's the basics while emulating the analog, so good quality sound for a cheaper price than the real units. and with enough you can do anything in it. UNLIMITED POWERS!

Technically speaking, I don't have to do anything. But, I suppose I should for safety's sake.
