I never know how too start these things but hey& I started listening too drum & bass this was in 1999 I was listening too the anthems but I was too young too go raving but I had decks and a few old skool garage records which I was into back then.
My first experience mixing drum & bass was mixing warhead, chopper, terrorist, fluid; I remember it so clearly I remember loving the vibe off this although I was mainly into old skool garage back then, I instantly fell in love with the energy and the fast paced tempo drum & bass had too offer a few months later I decided too go too my first rave I was like 15 at the time and it was February United dance at Bagleys, I remember Andy jumping on the decks my m8 said watch this guy he is the best there is I was astonished at the energy he created and how people were going absolutely mad and everyone smiling, the whole night had been one of the best nights I ever had.
Anyway I started buying a lot of the stuff they were playing in the big raves as this was the only genre of drum&bass I had ever heard and ever known I still had my old decks which were pretty poor really but I made use of them, a day came where DJT had invited me down too an internet station called UKRUMBLE were I first met the Nakedbeatz crew SLB,MR2,SK!NZ they heard one of my demos and thought it would be a good idea too get me on the station which I jumped at the chance and thoroughly enjoyed, time went on and at the same time I was learning from the guys mostly MR2 who proved too be very influential in my style of mixing and tune selection, Im going take this moment to pay my respect too the man badboy dj and top bloke.
Time went on at UKRUMBLE and I met a guy who called himself The Bouncer we shared similar tastes in music and had a lot in common one being two of the biggest smokers drum & bass had too offer, The Bouncer would then go on too give me my first chance too play out at DEKEFEX which I thought went very well.
Shortly after a good 5-6 months after it just seemed inevitable too join the IGNITION SOLDIERS and become a big part in the way its run. I also now Host the IGNITION SHOW on londons leading 88.2 RUDE FM.
