OK, it's been busy, busy, busy, so we're a bit behind on the selections...

Look, there are way more than 5 tracks with such a high score. In the end we have to make a selection of what we feel are the best produced tracks, the otherones get a honerable mention. I do admit I may have overlooked some tracks (including yours) in the honerable mention list, so maybe I should skip the list next time, coz it surely is incomplete, and it might even contain tracks not hosted on this site, coz I had no time to check all that.

So in the end, the 5 selected tracks are not selected by the voters, but by us, from the top voted tracks.
The reason for this is that the scores in the current system are not very accurate. A lot of people give too high scores too easely and some people boost their score by giving themselves a 5, or asking friends to give them a high score.

So we use the user scores as a guideline.

Nice too see that track ratings are not just taken as is. Trying to discover the 'real' votes is idd the best way to go!
Missing tracks should be avoided by all costs off course (even the ones that are not posted on this site but have a link).
Isn't there an 'easy' way to get the scores of all tunes (the real scores not the ones given by themselves) with SQL out of the DB?

Hey, seems to me you're just pissed off becouse we didn't find your track produced as good as the selected ones. If you can't live with our way of working, than don't come.

If someone makes a really bad track, gives it 5 stars and asks 10 mates to give it 5 stars too, no matter what we vote, he will still have 5 stars... So you say that track should be in the poll then? We think not.

from what i seen on this site the ranking system is usually spot on... it wouldnt be that hard to improve the voting system for competitions, such as only using votes from highly ranked users and obviously you shouldnt be able to vote on your own thread...

but as long as this site is up im happy Smile
