Started listening to the news on StuBru since the news on the radio I listened to sucked big time (not mentioning what radio I did listen to Big Grin

)
Sometimes I forgot to change the radio back after that. So I started apreciating the Puls show by Jeroen Roppe. Started listening every day. Heard some very nice DnB by Krust, Matrix, John B, the DnB Armageddon compilation... It was clear very soon: this was my music from then on!

was thinking of opening thos topic to but then i saw it in the other discussion,
anyway like i said b4:
a girl that my sister knows gave me 2 cd's once:"muzic classics:dnb" and "here come the drumz:hip hop drum n bass"
it was especially "it's like a jazz thing" that got me into it,
after that i taped as much dnb as possible on stubru(pulse),stuff like mutant revisited or can't punish me sounded very unoriginal and shitty to me,but it was "armageddon" on renegade hardware that got me into the harder side of dnb(dj reality's "detroit bleus")
then in 3 years ago i went to st lukas in bxl so near music shops that actually heard of dnb b4,from then on i bought cd's,tapes and later vinyl

My beginning is a bit very easy
J started to listen to it and like I spend (allmost) all my free time with him , I joined him but he got into to mixin' and all and I stayed a fanatic listener ...

At the time there was no music around that was really satisfyin' me. I like the energy in the music so i listend a lot to Dj Rush, Jeff Mills ,... but it wasn't really my thing.

A frend gave me a tape of Breakbeat Era. From then on i began exploring the whole Full Cycle stuff and thats where it all began Big Grin

For me it was StuBru too where I heard jungle for the first time. And late night Magic sessions with my pal Rob in 95-96. He was spinning either dnb or death/black metal Big Grin

In 97 I went studying in London, that was a nice dnb experience Tongue

As I also said already (now I can post my full story Wink

): Started spinnin' hiphop but didn't like the energy the crowd gave me. I went to a ragga/hiphop/DnB party where I saw the crowd enjoying DnB a lot more than hiphop. Followed a course DJ'ing where Wontime showed me some nasty tricks (guess y'all know them), liked it a lot and started spinnin' DnB (the pitching is hell when U come from hiphop->lost about all of my hiphop skillz now) and went to parties with the man called -B- and my partner in crime since then: Hyke.

My dad

took me to it's like a jungle (the organisor, mark klein is his best friend!!) it was the first it'slike a junlge i think, it was with Aphrodite. i was immediately sold!! Today my dad still goes to the Ab with me to the full cycle parties. He can rock Dance
