The Delta series are very nice. And if you're buying one to produce, there's no need to buy a 7.1 one, so I would go for the M-Audio

Thought that myself, but Terratec is 24bit/192Khz sampling, and Delta has 96Khz only.

I use terratec aureon 5.1(so i am extrapolating) It was only 20 quid, but has issues which could still be inherent in 7.1...
Optical In/out - doesnt work
Midi - doesnt work!
Supposedly something to do with service pack 2. But thats buulshit, tried without, it still didnt work... I/O port conflict or something, still it was cheap and the sound is good...
Id recommend if u dont have much money and dont use midi, but otherwise get something else...

yess ofcourse, just use a free PCI slot to plug in a new soundcard, and disable the onboard by either some kinda switch or changing the settings for it in your bios.

I'f you're planning on using it for whaching movies: great. If you're planning on making music: go for a normal stereo card, unless thisone is like the Delta 1010LT, which has 8 outs which you can program to function as a 7.1 system but is not really designed for that.

yo. i got the m audio audio phile 24/96....ive had it for about 3 years. and its never given me any shit. it's the one down from the 44. basically the only difference, is that the 44 has a break out box. 4 audio inputs....4 audio out's. , but you probably know this already. iv'e got a midi key board linked up to mine, and the latency is minascule, the sound quality is wicked as well. dunno much about terracec though!
__ peace out. ny
