I agree with Transistor Bass .
I own a Studio Electronics SE1-x and all I can say is : Its the synth for drum & bass music .
If you want 80 voice polyfony/unison sounds use your sampler .
I know that Dizzy Rascal has made his album with mostly raw sounds ( beats and basses ) from the ATC-X , the "litle" brother of the SE1-x .

i like the virus more personally but i like the gritty sounds thats probably why ..
no oofense on your preferance but it sounded really brite which is good but not for me ..
