Please check out my new track 'Wreckers' and post your comments here!!!
I haven't been producing for very long, but this is my most recent track and thus the one I like at the moment. Stylewise its sort of in homage to Lost Highway, one of my favourite tunes. Made on garageband with very little else, no samples at all, and patterning myself the few lame drumkits available.

not bad. you have the right kind of structure as for the intro and the drop, but it starts to trail off and change too much.
the sounds are good but the beat is too qiet for them, and beat is too simple. try more cymbals.
some nice melodies and sounds.

i have heard about this grageband and it's suppose to be really simple. made for people that don't know much elctronics and just want simple tracks that sound amazing. ya?
i like the bassline, it's got a nice overdrive sound to it with a nice stero image
the vocals, which i tihnk was from your song, that echo, i think it was from your song and not some popup sound....
if it was from yuor song, it didn't ift in at all. if it was. dj 45? ya, it is your song, dude, it's not in there good. it sticks out like a sore thumb. and i think that it sounds like it's from something else is reason enough. it needs a filter on it, or a distortion, it's too clean and dry sounding even with a clear delay on it.
oh ya, a good way to kick the beat along is to add a quite fast ride along for every 4 beats. just to simmer in the background during the drops.

probably. its just wgat came with my computer, but well i dont know f all about electronics and i would rather like my tracks to sound amazing so yes. it doesn't exactly lend itself to drum and bass, probablly a bit more for live musicians recording. really need to much money to get myself some proper stuff, you know 800 quid for cubase or something! this try befopre you by law doesn't seem to apply to macs though
(why oh why)
do you mean the voice saying dj broadside vocal? yeah, hehe, got a bit carried away with my own glory, didn't think anyone else would ever hear the tune at the time.
thanks for the feedback, would really appreciate any further comments.

Nice clean bass sound - great atmos when the guitar comes in. FM bass is cool - big build up but then the drop sounds a bit light by comparison. Nice melodic stuff later on and a smooth transition back to the core roller. For a new producer, you have song structure down - which is more than half the battle - and your sound is clear too. An abrupt ending (my players fault maybe?) Nice work - I'll be tuning in for more.

Im liking the sound of that "audience" like sample on top of that electric guitar sounding bass, sounds sick. I think the beat could use some more variation. I'd throw a subtle tabla loop on top of the beat to make it roll a little more. I like the change up at 2:32, sounds nice. I'd say the drops in this track need to be beefed up. I feel like im repeating myself alot in my coments so far but I honestly think that kick needs to be turned up a lil, its not punchy enough...but thats just my opinion.
overall, Nice track man.

The drumrolls before the drop @ 1.20 are way too loud
The drums need work. The snare isn't acentuated enough, and needs phattening up. Try adding more ghosts too.
I don't like the overall sounds you used. They sound like they were made for an old skool house track, not for DnB. This gives the track a very amateur feel, I'm sorry to say. This no where close to what a pro would do, soundwise and melody wise
The structure on the other hand is quite decent: enough variations and buildups and stuff.
As a track, I would give this a 2.25/5, but as a DnB track I have to give this a 1.5/5. The sound is not bad, but the drums sound way too thin, so 2/5 for the sound
